- Roger Denby (Glenn Strange), a shady lawyer with designs on the ranch of the deceased uncle of Bret Travis (Riley Hill), has knowledge of oil located on the property. While Travis is on the way to Buckhorn, Texas to claim his share of the estate, Denby has him dry-gulched by his henchmen and taken prisoner and has one of his henchmen, Wade Evans (Eddie Phillips) impersonate Travis. The Range Busters, "Crash" Corrigan (Ray Corrigan), "Dusty" King (John "Dusty" King) and "Alibi" Terhune (Max Terhune), discover that Judy King (Julie Duncan), co-heir with Travis to the ranch, has been completely fooled by Denby, and especially the man she thinks is her cousin. They try to set her right, but she refuses to heed their warnings and suggestions. The Range Busters track down the gang but themselves fall into an ambush and only through the aid of Judy, who suddenly realize they are right and trying to aid her, do they escape death. They finally bring Denby to justice and the real Bret Travis is rescued. They leave cousins Judy and Bret in possession of the ranch and ride away to further adventures.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
