Asha Parekh had reservations about acting in the film, because of the risque song "Parde mein". But the song and the film became hits.
Lata Mangeshkar turned down the opportunity to sing "Parde mein" (picturized on leading lady Asha Parekh) because she found the lyrics to be risque, and so it went to her younger sister Asha Bhosle, who won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
