The last Globo TV drama to have its soundtrack released in vinyl.
Intended to be a satirical critique to Americanization. The characters speak with a typically Brazilian Northeastern accent mixed with expressions in the English language.
Very well remembered for its opening sequence featuring a then unknown Maria Fernanda Cândido and conceived by famed Globo TV visual artist Hans Donner. However, Aguinaldo Silva and Ricardo Linhares were openly critical of it. According to Linhares, it was a "cold opening sequence to a heated story. I think [elements of] comedy and romance would've worked out better". Donner stood up for it, saying "I believe my team did get the point from that story. An untamed woman connected with nature, so powerful that nothing can stop her. And I don't know where 'cold' is on an opening sequence featuring the natural elements, filmed with real plants".
Eva Wilma came up with Altiva's line "thank you very much, viu bichinho?" ["alright, little thing?"] based on a Brazilian Northeastern friend.
