Filming of the same story was about to begin in 1934 with Risto Orko directing, but new CEO of the production company decided to produce Siltalan pehtoori (1934) instead. Valentin Vaala finally directed this story in 1947 and a remake of Siltalan pehtoori (1934) in 1953.
