Jeff Harris and Bernie Kukoff's sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" debuted in 1978 and ran 189 episodes over a whopping eight seasons. The series starred Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges as Arnold and Willis Jackson, two impoverished kids from Harlem whose mother had recently died. They were adopted by the wealthy Mr. Drummond (Conrad Bain), a Park Avenue millionaire. The series revolved around the relationship Arnold and Willis developed with their adopted father, new sister Kimberly (Dana Plato), and one of three kindly housekeepers. Launchpad has mostly been the butt of jokes in DuckTales. Sure, the guy has gotten time to shine in the past (especially in the Darkwing Duck episodes) but compared to the other main characters Launchpad is often left on the sidelines. While she often mocked the stupidity of the name Quack Pack in season 14, that's nothing compared to the Rationale of Big Brother 16. The alliance itself has potential to make a big difference in the game, but the name is ridiculous and pompous, like something a bunch of philosophy majors would name their college alt-rock band. Big Brother reunited the fifteen houseguests who were not expelled (sorry Willie!) last night for the season 14 finale, which saw Dan and Ian face-off in the final two!

As we now know, Ian emerged victorious -- but there has been some debate amongst fans if his gameplay truly deserved to best Dan's. The Big Brother House has become the Quack Pack House in the final days of this season. Out of the five original members of the worst-named alliance in Bb history, four survived into the final week — not a bad record. Now that the Big Brother feeds are finally back, shit is really getting crazy. We're trying to keep up, but we won't really know for sure until tonight's live eviction. You ready for this?

In last night's taped eviction, we saw Jenn walk out the door and Danielle win the Hoh after a gag-inducing luxary trip for her and Shane to some event with the U.S. women's gymnastics team. Seriously, since when does Shane like her? I don't think he's smart enough to play her, but hey, maybe he is. It's working. The girl is pathetically drooling all over him.

Anyway, let's get to what we didn't see: Danielle's nominations and the Pov competition. She nominated Dan and Ian, which shocked me for about two minutes until I remember how much Shane smoozed her during that trip outside the house.  Oh, and she won the Pov competition! What?!?

There was a big reward on the line for the Pov competition on Wednesday's special eviction episode of "Big Brother," even if the houseguests didn't know exactly what they were in for. All they knew was that it awarded them an opportunity to get out of the house, and after more than two months that's all they needed to know.

Ian had nominated Jenn and Shane for eviction this week, with Dan secretly targeting Shane as a bigger threat in the finals. But Shane pulled out a victory in the Pov competition, with some help from Ian who wasn't privy to Dan's schemes. For his win, he got to choose one fellow houseguest to join him. He chose his "showmance" partner, Danielle.

The pair acted like maybe their feelings for one another were real -- only his were really in question -- as they got to meet the Us Women's Olympic gymnastics team.

So, it's down to the final five, or what I like to call the Quack Pack and Jenn. Not that the Quack Pack is much of an alliance, as everyone except Shane seems to have a final two deal with Dan (and that may have happened and I just missed it), and Dan is eagerly rubbing his hands together in anticipation of stomping on their broken bodies on the way to the finish line. The crazy part is, of course, that every remaining hamster seems likely to smile up at him as he does it. "Gee, Dan, you're really good at...

When "Big Brother 14" kicks off and Julie Chen informs us the hamsters have no idea she's there, she's not joking. At the taping of this eviction episode, the houseguests were caught totally off guard by Julie and the live audience -- Shane didn't have pants on. At least no one was in the shower.

Post Nominations

Shane and Jenn are on the block, not that it really matters that much once everyone plays for Veto. Jenn expresses disbelief that Dan keeps staying off the block -- no kidding, girl. It's called the Dan Mist. He's like a warlock or something.

Meanwhile, Shane has no idea that he's the real target. And in the on-going saga that is Danielle being delusional about a showmance, Danielle is starting to think maybe Shane is just not that into her. Uh, ya think?

Power of Veto

The Pov is flying through the air and assembling a puzzle.

The final week of Big Brother 14 got off to a rollicking start tonight, with a special surprise eviction episode. Would the Quack Pack complete their Quack destiny of total Quack domination, and expel the lone floater hold-out Jenn from house? Or would Dan’s mad plan to backstab Shane come to fruition? Well, the votes are in, and… after Shane won the power of veto and was replaced on the block by Danielle, the Quack Pack knocked Jenn City out of the house. It’s perhaps not surprising to see Jenn go, considering what a non-entity she was in the first half of the summer.

In what is not a surprise at all, Jenn was evicted by a 2-0 vote. So the Quack Pack stayed together and appears to be Dan/Ian versus Shane/Danielle, though the Dan/Danielle relationship does throw that off a bit.

After the eviction (during which Jenn was given a Pb&J sandwich during her exit interview with Julie, heh), they houseguests played for Hoh -- minus Ian, of course, as outgoing Hoh. And the new Head of Household is none other than Danielle. Look who can finally win something other than the pirate ship comp.

So Danielle is Hoh. There were no nominations made, but at this point it hardly matters.

So, Ian won the most recent Head of Household last week, after Thursday's live show. He nominated Shane and Jenn, though now that everyone plays for Pov, it hardly matters anymore. Both the nominees took it pretty well, though Jenn can tell she's the target this week.

The Power of Veto competition saw Shane win Pov, so he will obviously remove himself from the block at the ceremony Monday (Sept. 10). Ian is going to nominate Danielle as the replacement, because he feels confident about his Final 2 deal with Dan.

The Big Brother house can be an extremely unpredictable place, but we can always count on Frank for some stability. We know that if Frank doesn’t win Head of Household, he’s going to be put up on the chopping block. So of course, Frank was nominated for eviction last week (he took a penalty during a veto competition that forced him to sit out of the following two HoH competitions) by his arch-nemesis — former ally — Ian, reaffirming his status as the perennial victim. Dan’s actions, on the other hand, sustained his newfound role as villain. Although he swore on his wedding band,...

On the latest "Big Brother 14" episode, Dan finally starts winning things. Also, now is a great time to get the live feeds. Since Thursday is a live double eviction, there will almost surely be an endurance comp that starts as the episode ends, but you can watch on the feeds. Plus, as we get closer to the finale, there will be the final Head of Household rounds that take place on the feeds.

Jenn is really nervous, which is kind of insane. Sure, it sucks to be nominated, but c'mon. This is like the week she got so mad about being the replacement nominee -- all you gotta do is lay low, girl. People want Frank out. Just calm down. At least hide your freaking out, instead of going bat-crap crazy like two weeks ago.

Dan has Frank completely wrapped up in their Final 2 deal, which is hilarious.

Big Brother favorite Britney Haynes was blindsided once again last week as she was evicted by her fellow houseguests following one of the craziest weeks we've ever seen.

Brit appeared completely safe with her fellow Quack Pack until Dan pulled a last-minute Hail Mary move to save himself from the block. He held his own funeral and teamed up with his biggest enemy in the house, a move no one saw coming. And a move we had to ask Britney about.

" totally respect his game move," she tells Ology. "He did what he had to do to advance himself for another week and I really think he is a genius."

Obviously, we agree. But what about Jenn? Was it smart on her part to use the Power of Veto on Dan? "It was so dumb of her to do that," Britney says. "It made her a huge target in the house....

Hello, "Big Brother" fans. Sorry to take a weekend hiatus, but we're back with all the updates from the live feeds.

First off, after Ian nominated Frank and Jenn, Dan won Power of Veto and removed Jenn from the block, with Joe going up as the replacement. It was a great move for Dan, because Jenn was in no real danger of going home this week, so he gets to repay her and look like a good guy without really having an effect on the game. Smooth.

Now that it's Joe vs. Frank, the Quack Pack (Ian/Dan/Danielle/Shane) decided it's better for all involved if they pretend they are keeping Frank all week long, so that he doesn't campaign too hard and doesn't annoy the crap out of them all week.

As previously announced, Ian won this week's Head of Household competition. It was down to he and Shane and eventually, the latter asked the rest of the houseguests if they would give he and Ian some time to talk alone. Of course, that told them all that Shane was about to drop out of the competition and would likely try to make a deal with Ian. Honestly, I think Shane is the last person Ian wants to go after. Perhaps Shane was ensuring the safety of Danielle?   In any case, Ian held true to his promise to Brittany in that he would avenge her after she was blind-sided and evicted from the Big Brother house last week. A little over two weeks ago, we wrote an op-ed about "Big Brother 14" possibly being the worst season of the show ever. It certainly was rivaling Season 9, which took place in the winter during the writers' strike.

However, in the past week, the show has pretty much redeemed all of the crap we put up with all summer long in one fell swoop, courtesy of Dan Gheesling.

Dan went into 24-hour solitary confinement nominated and probably on his way out the door, since who is going to evict non-threat Danielle over huge threat Dan? But he hatched a plan that still would've been fun to watch had it not worked, but since it did? Amazing.

It doesn't hurt that Frank and Jenn, with no real alliance and not exactly the world's most cutthroat gamers, were ripe for the picking. But that probably went into Dan's thinking when devising this devious scheme.

One week ago, Mike Boogie and Smashley went home in a stunning double-elimination facilitated by Quack Pack mole Ian, but the Quack Pack’s ultimate target, Frank, managed to ascend to the Head of Household throneroom in a mesmerizing come-from-far-far-behind HoH competition. Then, last night, a desperate Dan hatched a daring plan…and wound up forming an alliance with his number-one nemesis, Frank. That plan resulted in Britney — the Lucille Bluth of the Big Brother...

It's been a very crazy last seven days in the Big Brother 14 house. First Boogie and Ashley were sent home in a double eviction, then Frank won HoH and targeted his arch-nemesis Dan, then Dan flipped the house on its head with his "Big Brother Funeral" and successfully exposed the Quack Pack to turn Frank against Ian. It was a move that, in my mind, made Dan the best player in the history of the game, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

Phew. Not that we all have a Big Brother hangover, it's time to talk about everything that went down in last night's episode, which was certainly one of the the best in history.

Remember that time I told you about Dan's crazy plan to save himself? Well, it actually worked. If you haven't been watching the live feeds, you were in for a huge surprise last night as Dan somehow saved himself from being evicted even though everyone in the house wanted him out. But let's back up.

The episode begins with the Veto competition right away, which is all the more indication that something amazing is about to happen. It's a "Draw Something" game where the houseguests guess words and if they get it right, they get points. But, they also get a punishment.

The Quack Pack agrees to let Shane...

After the Power of Veto competition, Dan spent 24 hours in solitary confinement. He went in there as a dead man walking -- Hoh Frank was gunning for him and he was already up for eviction -- but he came out a changed man. He also made a case for himself as one of the greatest to ever play "Big Brother" if this plan of his works, according to CarterMatt.

Dan came out of solitary and seemed resigned to his fate. He had a "funeral" for Dan the player, during which he completely threw his ally from the start, Danielle, under the bus. She was shattered, as she'd genuinely done nothing wrong.

While the rest of the house thought he was up giving a more personal apology to Frank in the Hoh room, Dan was actually revealing everything to that point about the Quack Pack and Ian's duplicity. In doing so,...

Just when it seemed like the Quack Pack might stand a chance in getting Frank out of the Big Brother house, he came back yet again, winning the Head of Household competition and therefore becoming the most powerful player in the game yet again. This change forced players to make a move, with Britney switching to the dark side to make a private deal with him in order to ensure her own safety. Big Brother 14 Britney spotted crying hard after getting put up for eviction today. As previously reported, a big twist went down in the Big Brother season 14 house today. Reigning HoH Frank, replaced Dan on the eviction chopping block with Britney after Jenn used her Veto to save Dan. It was all apart of an elaborate scheme,cooked up by former winner Dan Gheesling. Last night, Dan gave a big,fake,speech,professing he was ready to go home,and didn't want to talk game with anyone. He also told Danielle she was dead to him as far as the game goes for added touch. After that, Dan ran straight up to Frank's room to spill all the details on the Quack pack,including ratting out Ian for setting up Boogie to exit the game. From there, they set up a new alliance that would target Britney to get back at Ian,...

Sunday night (Aug. 26) was easily the best night of live feeds for all of "Big Brother 14" and we'd put it up against any few hours of any season ever. It's not too late to sign up for the three-day free trial -- today's Pov ceremony should set off some explosions in the house.

So, read all about Dan's master plan here. It was a sight to behold, y'all. But the gist is that he, Frank, Jenn and Danielle are a new final four alliance. Nobody outside of the four of them suspects and the plan is that Jenn will use the Pov on Dan and Britney will go up on the block as the target for eviction.

Dan f*cking Gheesling might be pulling off the most epic move in Bb history right now. This kid won his season by somehow talking his way off the block week after week, but tonight's live feeds just prove how genius he really is. Ready?

Dan calls a house meeting, or what he likes to call his "Big Brother funeral." He proceeds to go around and tell everyone why he loves them and how much he loves this game. He basically says that he's accepted his defeat and he doesn't want to talk game for the rest of the week.

Following the Power of Veto competition in the "Big Brother 14" house this week, just about every houseguest had a punishment of some sort. And the live feeds have kind of exploded with the aftermath -- sign up now to watch this week play out.

So, Dan gets out of solitary confinement Sunday night (Aug. 26) and calls a house meeting, where he proceeds to ask everyone to cut out the game talk this week and just enjoy the last few days. He then tells each houseguest in turn what he likes about them -- except Danielle.

On the latest issue of "Big Brother 14," Frank may continue to be a beast in competitions, but he shows off some rather ugly sides of his personality.

The Double Eviction Show

This mostly consists of Frank storming around like he's got 'roid rage and saying some kind of ugly things to Ian and Joe. It's actually rather surprising the editors are showing Frank in this light, since he seems to be the golden boy this season. But he's coming off as a huge jerk.

The crowning achievement is when Frank calls Ian a "terrible person" for sending home the two people who Frank was working with. Um, you claim you are a fan of this game, Frank? That's How The Game Is Played. You got played. You got straight-up played and you're lucky it wasn't your butt going out the door and you need to stop being such a bully to Ian.

There was a Pandora's Box unleashing in the "Big Brother 14" Friday (Aug. 24) and after all the dust had settled (and there was plenty of dust), a new power has been put into the game. The live feeds should be pretty, well, lively today, so sign up for the free trial if you haven't already.

Ian won a special Veto that it appears can be used at any time -- presumably this week, but maybe he gets to hold on to it. We don't know all the details. But the people in the Diary Room are apparently pushing for him not to use it.

So Frank is the new Hoh and he has nominated Dan and Danielle for eviction. Ian won the Pandora's Box competition and has a special Veto for the week, which he can use at any time (we think).

Dan's plan is to try to get Ian to use the special Veto, though he'll probably wait to see who wins the real Power of Veto. Also, Ian can't play in Pov, so the Quack Pack has odds that all their other members will be playing -- Frank, Dan, Danielle and three out of Joe/Jenn/Britney/Shane. It sounds like the hamsters had to search the house for quarters to play the claw machine (or some kind of claw machine) in the backyard. Ian won some kind of special Veto power and cannot compete in Saturday's Pov competition. It sounds like he can Veto a nomination, but it's unclear if he has to do it between first nominations and Pov, or if he can do it at any time.

With the exception of the Zingbot 3000 and some idiot always opening Pandora’s Box, there is little in the Big Brother house that is more exciting than the double eviction. I checked in with host Julie Chen to talk about the two houseguests that were sent packing (Mike Boogie and Ashley), the Quack Pack, and who now stands the best chance of winning Big Brother 14.

Entertainment Weekly: First off, how stressful is it for you and the crew on a live double eviction night where you have to squeeze in two vote outs and two competitions in under an hour?...

I think we can all agree that last night's Big Brother was one of the best episodes in a long time. Whether you were happy with the evictions or not, it was the most entertaining hour of this season, hands down.

It's double eviction night and from the start, it's pretty clear that Boogie's getting voted out first. He's prepared for it too. I think we are all just waiting for him to hear the vote count and realize that Ian is the one who betrayed him. It's an epic moment of reality television as the legendary Mike Boogie sits down next to Julie and listens to his goodbye messages. First, Frank apologizes for not being able to keep him safe. Then Britney imitates the famous Dr Chilltown phone calls! She picks up the phone and pretends Janelle is on the line. Then she laughs in his face!
