Working his fingers to the bone to support his mother and his sister, the idealist breadwinner and fiercely honest lorry driver, Kosmas, dares to dream that, someday, he will leave behind the dark days of poverty and his sordid working-class neighbourhood. As a result, struggling to pay off a soaring debt, let alone eke out an existence, Kosmas will soon find himself with his back to the wall, when a reluctant but mutually beneficial partnership with the slums' unscrupulous smuggler offers a speedy means to an end. Now, Kosmas needs to make a decision; one that will test the very foundation of his unyielding principles. Is Kosmas, and the other fellow lost souls, doomed to live forever in dream-crushing Magic City?
