I usually don't like the average Christmas TV movie fare, but this one I managed to sit through to the end.
The script, characterisation and acting was good, and I liked the ludicrous comic characters. Many comedies are just too serious.
About three quarters of the way through I feel it lost its way: the whole "girl who needs a heart transplant" sub-plot is just too hackneyed and sentimental, and Jolie runs around giving no indication that she is at all ill.
I didn't find the ending at all satisfying, they just seemed to want to wrap it up as soon as possible.
