The first-ever open-world Star Wars game, Ubisoft's Star Wars Outlaws launched just a few weeks ago. The Mustafar battle is a well-known fight in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It happens on the fiery planet Mustafar between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. They fight because Anakin has joined the dark side and betrayed the Jedi. The battle is very intense, with lava all around them, and it ends sadly for Anakin.
The battle gave us some of the most memorable scenes in movies, but it also had some questionable moves and funny lines, like the one about the high ground.
At Spacecon, Christensen shared some insights about the famous fight. He joked that Anakin jumped because of “the arrogance of youth.” He also suggested that Anakin believed he could beat Obi-Wan Kenobi because he knew how Obi-Wan had defeated Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace.
In a TikTok video by thelegacyofnerd, Christensen explained that Anakin probably grew up hearing stories about that fight, which made...

Prior to being synonymous with MCU, Samuel L. Jackson happened to be a staple of the Star Wars universe. Playing the role of Jedi master Mace Windu in all three Star Wars Prequel Trilogy films, Jackson faced his character’s death in 2005’s Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, after confronting Palpatine.

We have been reaping the rewards of Star Wars' new approach to storytelling over the past five years. The franchise has already bounced back into the world of cinema over the past decade, with major movies closing out the Skywalker Saga and laying the groundwork for both the future of the film series and various other stories that can be told on the big screen. But it has also taken its stories to the small screen too, thanks in no small part to the Disney Plus streaming service.
This has paved the way for new stories in the Star Wars universe such as The Mandalorian, but it has also set the stage for the return of some franchise legends like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Cassian Andor, and Boba Fett. But there is one infamous Star Wars legend that made multiple appearances across the Disney Plus shows, and he might be the one...

Okay, we all loved the original Star Wars trilogy. George Lucas’ unique vision defined the space opera genre and gave us some epic movies that we will love for years to come. But remember when the Prequel Trilogy came out?
Sure, by the time the Revenge of the Sith came out, fans were more satisfied with the story, but do you remember how much hate was directed towards Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace when it first came out?
The Prequel Trilogy did not receive much love upon its premiere, but its quality has been reevaluated over the years and today, more and more people love these movies, especially since the Sequel Trilogy failed to make significant progress in that aspect.
Building on that, a fan has recently gone back to the Revenge of the Sith video game – yes, that was the time when each film got a...

When it comes to Disney and the Star Wars universe, it hasn't always been smooth sailing across the galaxies. In fact, The Acolyte was highly touted, then bombed and then canceled. Meanwhile, previous series that did well were not renewed. That might be changing for one such series.
Ewan McGregor has been an incredible Obi-Wan Kenobi, and after the success of the Obi-Wan series, fans have been dying to dive back into the life of their favorite Jedi trainer. McGregor has always been on board with another series to further take the character into new adventures, but Disney has been reluctant. That may be about to change.
McGregor, at an Los Angeles Comic-Con event answered a fans question about the possibility of a return to that world. McGregor confirmed that there have been exploratory conversations about ideas for a second season with Disney and LucasFilm.

That galaxy so far, far away has expanded its horizons in the past half-decade. The Star Wars franchise celebrated the launch of the Disney Plus streaming service by telling stories through it, as a number of shows were produced for the streamer. In fact, one of them helped herald in the Disney Plus era as The Mandalorian launched with the platform in 2019.
Since then, the Star Wars universe has added more and more shows to its catalog, with some being direct spinoffs of The Mandalorian and others giving the spotlight to some of the franchise's most legendary characters. Some even launched new stories set within the vast world of the franchise, beyond just adding to the Skywalker Saga.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith's Iconic Lightsaber Fight Almost Took a Darker Turn - Main Image
The stunt coordinator of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith recently revealed that the film's iconic lightsaber fight almost took an unexpected darker turn.
Most Star Wars fans would argue that the climactic fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in the final prequel trilogy film was one of the best lightsaber battles in the franchise's history.
The moment was consequential to the rest of the galaxy in the coming years as it officially ended the friendship between the two characters and it led to Anakin becoming the villainous Darth Vader.

Star Wars stunt coordinator Nick Gillard revealed that Steven Speilberg actually created the 'high ground' scene in Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith.
According to GamesRadar, it was Spielberg's idea for Obi-Wan Kenobi to warn Anakin not to "try it" before he jumps, as Kenobi had the High Ground. This scene has been discussed and dissected for the past 19 years, and fans have grown to love it. Obi-Wan's exact line, "It's over, Anakin. I have the high ground," is probably one of the most famous lines in the saga now, and it might be Ewan McGregor's single most memorable dialogue as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
However, according to Nick Gillard, everyone hated the scene, but Lucas remained adamant about keeping it in the movie:
It's just the way George [Lucas] hung onto it. We hated it, it's common knowledge we hated it. We had a different version for it.

The stunt coordinator who worked on Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith revealed that the iconic "high ground" scene was an idea from a legendary filmmaker.
One of the prequel trilogy installment's memorable moments is the climactic duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker in Mustafar where the former said that he has the "high ground" before severing his former padawan.
Up to this day, the scene remains one of the most pivotal moments for fans who grew up on the prequel trilogy. However, as it turns out, it was not George Lucas who came up with that idea.

With Star Wars in a bit of a rut of late, Disney is turning to one of the franchise's most beloved modern day characters in hopes of a rebound. A new rumor from industry insider Daniel Rpk claims that Star Wars Jedi protagonist Cal Kestis will be making his live-action debut in a project "very soon."
The rumor was posted to Daniel Rpk's Patreon, but it was light of details. The scooper claimed that he couldn't share much, other than the character's live-action debut would be on Disney+. This likely means Cal Kestis will appear in either a yet-to-be-revealed Star Wars series, or perhaps an already existing series.
Set between the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, the Star Wars Jedi games follow the adventures of Cal Kestis, one of the surviving Jedi currently being hunted by the Galactic Empire.

There is a lot of crossover in the pop-culture sphere. If an actor is part of one major franchise; chances are that they might be part of another too. Look no further than the likes of Michael Keaton, Ryan Reynolds, and Josh Brolin, who have starred in both DC and Marvel projects.
That extends to Star Wars, too. Mark Hamill, for example, is best-known to one audience for portraying the legendary Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, and to another for voicing The Joker in many classic Batman TV shows and movies (including Batman: The Animated Series and the Batman Arkham video game series).
But it turns out that he isn't the only Joker actor to appear in the Star Wars franchise, and according to a new report, the other Clown Prince Of Crime could be about to make his debut live-action appearance in the Star Wars universe.

A few years ago, YouTube clips of scenes from The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels were filled with hundreds of comments from Star Wars fans who hoped for an impossible resolution to Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker's tragic relationship.
It seemed like a pipe dream back then. Most fans always added a hopeless "It's probably never going to happen" at the end of a comment, hoping Hayden Christensen would return to Star Wars as the ghost of Anakin Skywalker, who reunites with a live-action Ahsoka Tano. Star Wars is one of the biggest fandoms of all time, comprising fans from all walks of life. While the space-opera universe, even during the days of George Lucas, has catered to all kinds of fans, a faction of toxic fans have always found something or the other wrong with its many projects, films, and series.

This toxic faction has gained an added edge during this age of the internet, leading to intense backlash and excessive hate campaigns. The most recent example of this has been the cancelation of The Acolyte, a series that sought to introduce a new storyline set within the larger universe of Star Wars. And Lucas already foresaw this decades ago.

In 1977's "Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope," the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness) was introduced wearing lightweight, light-colored robes, outfitted with a loose, cloak-like hood. One might rightly assume that the robes were necessary for living on the desert planet of Tatooine, and that light, full-bodied robes were key for keeping the sun off his head and body. One doesn't want skintight black leather in the desert, no matter what the L.A. Goth kids might be unwisely wearing to Disneyland during the summer.
Later in the series, in 1983's "Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi," fans would see the character of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) in person for the first time, and he, too, would be wearing dark robes. Palpatine's cloak, however, was more mysterious, serving to obscure the frail body and place face of the twisted warlock lord. The cloak-and-robe aesthetic...

This article contains spoilers for "The Acolyte" season 1.
In George Lucas' 2005 film "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith," Senator Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) tells a story to Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christiansen) about a mythic Sith lord known as Darth Plagueis the Wise. Darth Plagueis was said to be so powerful and wise that he mastered the dark side of the Force, using negative emotions to create life from nothing. Plagueis was eventually killed by his apprentice, the evil Darth Sidious. "Star Wars" fans will hasten to add that Darth Sidious was Palpatine's Sith alias.
For years, fans theorized that Darth Sidious and Darth Plagueis once combined their dark side powers, shot energy out into the universe, and conceived a Force baby within the womb of a random woman. The Force baby they created was none other than Anakin himself, the boy who would grow up to be Darth Vader.

The Acolyte Season 1, Episode 8, “The Acolyte,” finds Osha and Mae at a crossroads with their current abductors. Osha has a vision after putting The Stranger/Qimir’s helmet on. The Sith master struggles to free Osha from the helmet’s restraints, as he has to use dark force to remove them. Osha then tells him she envisioned Mae killing Sol without using weapons.
Meanwhile, they are chillingly watched over by Darth Plagueis. (We first met this character in the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.) According to Star Wars lore, he is a “Sith Lord with the ability to cheat death and create life.” Osha knows precisely where they are headed, and they leave together to see if they can stop her.

This article contains spoilers for the "Star Wars: The Acolyte" season 1 finale.
The "Star Wars: The Acolyte" season 1 finale offered many surprises as it wrapped up the mystery of Jedi murders. The series opened with the killing of Jedi Master Indara (Carrie-Anne Moss) and has slowly shown us a path of darkness paved with the best of intentions, a microcosm of the "Star Wars" story told in The Skywalker Saga. "It's like poetry," George Lucas once famously said, "it rhymes."
"Star Wars," at its core, is something to help impart lessons on those who watch it, and resisting the temptation to do evil in the name of something good has been a central tenet of the property since its earliest days under Lucas' creative control.
In the season 1 finale, also titled "The Acolyte," we were shown one tantalizing glimpse of a character who has never been on screen in "Star Wars" before,...

The first few Star Wars films provided a seminal filmmaking experience for people who grew up in the 70s and 80s. The original trilogy changed movies and how people saw blockbuster filmmaking. George Lucas created something original and unique that audiences had never seen before. The writer/director went on to direct the prequel trilogy in the late 90s and early 2000s.

For George Lucas, Star Wars was the culmination of his creative journey – one that sought to redefine cinematic excellence by introducing a universe so divergent that it would make the audience balk at the scale of his extraordinary epic.

However, Star Wars became much more than that. It established a cult of tropes that became fixtures in the film industry, thus helping to reshape how stories were told and tragedies were framed. No other IP ever came close to replicating George Lucas’ astounding masterpiece and yet, there existed huge roadblocks at the beginning of his journey – as with all journeys that end up creating history.

Star Wars fans might not recognize the face or name of Matthew Wood, but they are plenty familiar with his voice. Originally a sound engineer and sound editor for Lucasfilm, Wood went on to voice the character of General Grievous, among other voice roles in the franchise. However, the Kaleesh cyborg remains Wood’s most popular role.

During an interview, Wood spoke about the possibility of reprising his role as General Grievous, for a solo movie focusing on the character. Given the expanded focus the character has received in spin-off media, fans have grown attached to Grievous. Therefore, a Star Wars anthology film about the character might make sense and Wood is certainly willing to return.

Revenge of the Sith marks the conclusion of George Lucas’ prequel trilogy of Star Wars movies. The 2005 movie cemented Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side while setting up the events of the original trilogy. As a result, the film had plenty of ground to cover in a short amount of screen time. However, Lucas originally had a much longer cut of the film on hand.

According to Matthew Wood, who voiced General Grievous in the film, the original cut for the Revenge of the Sith would have made it one of the longest films in the franchise. However, Lucas eventually managed to trim the fat and reduce the film’s length. Here is what Wood had to say about the film’s original cut and his role as General Grievous.

George Lucas’s interstellar adventures in a galaxy far, far away have run into their fair share of troubles in the real world too. Star Wars may be one of the most prized, critically celebrated, universally loved, and economically successful franchises ever dreamed up by Hollywood. But nothing comes close to the amount of controversies it has invited simply by breathing in the wrong direction.

This Star Wars: The Acolyte article contains spoilers.
Not since the Order 66 montage in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith have we witnessed such a bloodbath. Episode 5 of The Acolyte, suitably titled “Night,” didn’t just kill off the nameless Jedi redshirts we all expected to die when the mystery Sith Lord showed up on Khofar in episode 4 but also two members of the show’s main cast: Jecki Lon (Dafne Keen) and Yord Fandar (Charlie Barnett) in one fell swoop. It’s a shocking turn of events that immediately raises the stakes of the show and reveals the dark side this Star Wars murder mystery has been promising to unleash since its very first trailers. Now, all bets are off, and it’s so refreshing.

8 Star Wars Characters Around During The Acolyte - Main Image
Star Wars: The Acolyte's fourth episode, which features a surprising cameo from Ki-Adi-Mundi, has sparked a significant debate.
Set about a hundred years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I – Phantom Menace, many believe that during the tail-end of the High Republic Era, the Cerean Jedi Master wasn’t even born yet.
However, several franchise characters are alive during The Acolyte, especially those who belong to various alien races.
Though it remains to be seen whether they turn up in the Disney+ series or not, they may have known the show’s main characters, like Vernestra Rwoh.
So, here are the eight original Star Wars characters alive during The Acolyte.

Oppo Rancisis was a Jedi Master who served the Jedi Council during the High Republic Era.

At the beginning of Irvin Kershner's 1980 sci-fi flick "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) is attacked by vicious yeti while patrolling the frozen wastelands of the planet Hoth. The yeti, called a wampa, carries Luke back to its lair, where it feasts on the bones of some other mysterious prey. Luke's feet are frozen to the ceiling, and he remains injured and dangling, unable to defend himself. Luckily, Luke brought a lightsaber with him, and he's able to use it to free himself and slay the yeti. It's a pity that the makers of "The Empire Strikes Back" didn't think to include a scene wherein the space yeti fought Chewbacca, a space sasquatch.
In the original (and now unavailable) cuts of "Empire Strikes Back," the wampa was barely seen, achieved only through a clumsy costume and clever editing that left the bulk of its massive body obscured.

Actor Hayden Christensen is synonymous with the role of Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels and other projects. He first appeared in the role in 2002’s Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Franchise spearhead George Lucas cast Christensen to play Anakin in the prequels, which detail Darth Vader’s backstory.

As a franchise, Star Wars is known to be based on falsities. Be it fight sequences, or heartfelt ones, often, what we see isn’t what is actually there. Several characters are almost completely CGI, and Disney relies quite heavily on visual effects to bail them out when put in a tough corner. From the lightsaber effects to the fights being done by stunt people, there is no denying that CGI helps the final product look the way that it does.

Scottish actor and marital artist Ray Park began his film career as a stunt double for actors Robin Shou and James Remar in the 1997 video game adaptation "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation." He played some other characters too, although only in a background capacity; his face could not be seen. 1999 saw Park's career explode, however, as he played the demonic Darth Maul in George Lucas' supra-blockbuster "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace." At the time, critics were mixed on "The Phantom Menace," but many "Star Wars" fanboys agreed that Darth Maul was really, really cool. He didn't speak much — and when he did, he was voiced by Peter Serafinowicz — but his double-sided lightsaber, black cloak, stoic demeanor, and striking facial markings made Maul one of the most memorable parts of an otherwise forgettable film.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith marked the conclusion of the prequels era of the space opera franchise created by George Lucas. The film explores Anakin Skywalker’s turn to the dark side and transformation into Darth Vader. Meanwhile, the Jedi Order is destroyed by the Sith, forcing Master Yoda to take some tough calls.

Given Yoda’s larger role in the film, Lucas and his creative team had to figure out how to deal with his movements as he was primarily a CGI creation. Lucas faced issues with filming scenes where he had to depict Yoda walking, resulting in a hilarious issue. Nonetheless, Lucas was able to resolve the issue with a clever CGI solution, and here is everything you need to know about it.

George Lucas returned to the galaxy far, far away to complete his epic space opera saga with the prequels that detail the backstory of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader. The prequels explore the rise of the Empire and the fall of the Jedi, with the Clone Troopers playing a crucial role in the overall storyline of this particular era.

In the third installment of the prequels Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Lucas brought back actor Temuera Morrison to play some of the Clone Troopers following his performance as Jango Fett in the earlier installment. George Lucas, the man who spawned the beloved Star Wars franchise, has always been marked as a visionary of supreme quality and his works speak on his behalf. While the original trilogy had dazzled the fans, making the creator forever synonymous with the series, his prequel trilogy became a mere laughing stock for the public.

The original trilogy resonated with the viewers over its stories, characters, and the unique visual effects featured in the film, but the prequel was more politically influenced and after creating Episode III- Revenge of the Sith, he felt that he should put an end to his galaxy far, far away.
Although one would think it was the audience reception that forced Lucas to end that was not the case as he opened up about his decision to MTV.

Revenge of the Sith is the best entry in the Prequel trilogy for Star Wars, one that brought audiences face to face with the downfall of Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi Order, and the rise of the Galactic Empire. While the Prequels have been infinitely memed, the trilogy, especially its finale, consists of some of the most emotionally charged moments of the entire franchise.
One such moment, that has been simultaneously memed and and considered one of the most emotionally charged moments of the franchise, is the battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker (now Darth Vader) on the plane of Mustafar. One of the many things that made fans laugh out loud was the finale of the battle, where Obi-Wan Kenobi declares that he has the high ground, but it seems that this was not the only iteration of the fight between the Jedi Master and his former Padawan.
