When I saw on Deadline that filming has wrapped on an action thriller called Turbulence, my first thought was, “Is it a remake?” This despite the fact that there have been multiple films with the title Turbulence over the years. I thought it might have something to do with the 1997 film with the title, which starred Lauren Holly as a flight attendant stuck on a plane with a serial killer played by Ray Liotta. As it turns out, the new Turbulence doesn’t have anything to do with that franchise… but it is a hot air balloon thriller that stars Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) and Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), so it might make for an interesting viewing experience.

November 1st is a tough day for horror hounds. The decorations are still up, the air remains crisp, but the spirit has seemingly moved on, perhaps vanquished by the sun. Alamo Drafthouse says to hell with all of that and has announced two month’s worth of genre joy that’ll take you from Dia de los Muertos to Christmas Eve with minimal whiplash.
Terror Tuesday is a weekly slash-and-thrash through the world of horror, and they’ve booked a number of holiday-tinged forever classics mixed in with new canon-busting entries, many of which are screening from new, sparkling scans. February is the shortest month of the year but Prime Video is paying that no mind with its jam-packed list of new releases for February 2023.
This really is an uncommonly stuffed month on the Amazon streamer and it all starts with a handful of Amazon Originals. Amazon’s original offerings kick off with the release of Dave Franco-directed romcom Somebody I Used to Know on Feb. 10. That is followed by Carnival Row season 2 – a gritty fantasy crime drama is set in a world of steampunky fairies. The show stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne and this batch of episodes will be its swan song. Meanwhile The Consultant on Feb. 24 is a dark comedy workplace thriller starring Christoph Waltz.
The biggest hits this month, however, might just be some recent cinema faves. If February is for lovers, Amazon didn’t get the memo as there are quite a few horror movies of note here.

A standard direct flight from Incheon International Airport in South Korea to Honolulu clocks in at a little over 10 hours, and a lot can happen in the duration of that dawn-to-near-dusk journey. You could start and finish a medium-sized book or work your way through a season of a premium-cable prestige drama. Maybe you’d answer a lot of emails (depending on the Wi-Fi situation, which we’re told can be unreliable), get wildly drunk, or catch up on your sleep. Or, should you be a psychopath who works for...

The new year is continuing apace at Hulu. The streamer’s list of new releases for February 2022 is highlighted by one very interesting project.
Pam and Tommy is set to premiere on Feb. 2. Perhaps the Groundhog Day release date is intentional as the show will cover a particular moment of celebrity, sex, and exploitation from the early ’90s that seems to have repeated itself over and over. Sebastian Stan and Lily James star as Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson and the series follows the events and fallout of their homemade sex tape being stolen and unleashed on a nascent internet. If nothing else, getting the promo photos of Stan and James as the ’90s stars was worth it.

Hey, remember when they released that picture of the CGI movie Sonic the Hedgehog and it was so freakish and unnerving that animators had to work overtime to fix it? Anywho, Sonic the Hedgehog is coming to Hulu this month.

“Turbulence I like,” the Academy Award-winning actress, 44, captioned a black-and-white snap of herself standing in front of Weber’s billboard, showing off her excitement for the upcoming season.
Fellow actress January Jones ,41, commented on Theron’s post, also expressing her fandom for the ABC series. “Omg!!! I can. Not. Wait,” the Mad Men star wrote.

The passengers of Manifest‘s Flight 828 share a very surprising connection, it is hinted in a sizzle reel that premiered Saturday at New York Comic Con and now can only be seen on TVLine.
Much of the three-plus minute video recaps the events of the hit freshman drama’s first two episodes. But at the 2:45 mark, it begins sampling scenes from Episode 3, which is titled “Turbulence” and airs this Monday at 10/9c.
In that episode, Michaela (played by Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben (Josh Dallas) investigate the murder of Kelly, the fellow passenger who had just been on the news...

The passengers on Montego Air Flight 828 may be back home, but someone is not impressed with their return after so long away.
On Manifest Season 1 Episode 3, Ben and Michaela join forces to investigate a stunning murder.
With the plot continuing to thicken, the brother and sister set out to find out how this latest murder could be connected to the flight.
Through two episodes, Manifest has successfully set up a mystery that could well last several seasons if it is executed correctly.
If the murder is indeed linked to the flight, it means that the survivors are going to continue to diminish if a mysterious force is wiping them out.
Meanwhile, Sanvi is startled when she realizes there's a big change in her blood from before the plane went missing and now, leading her to believe there is something going on.
But how will all of this tie together?
We have no idea,...

Liam Neeson's flight in Non-stop is a first class joyride compared to. Turbulence (1997) Director: Robert Butler Stars: Ray Liotta, Lauren Holly, Brendan Gleeson A stewardess.excuse me, flight attendant.has the worst flight ever when a serial killer takes over the plane. It's probably not a good sign when the thing I remember most about a movie is that the trailer featured a White Zombie song. But alas, that is the case with Turbulence, a B-grade "killer...

I had no idea someone made a sequel to director Robert Butler’s low-rent Ray Liotta thriller “Turbulence”, let alone two. So you can probably imagine my surprise when I happened upon a random copy of “Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal” on VHS at a local antique mall. For a whopping $1, I was treated to what appeared to be three separate movies edited together into one needlessly complicated thriller. The story concerns itself with a Marilyn Manson-style rock star who stages a private show aboard a 747 as its flying across the United States. Before long, the passengers are treated taken hostage by their goth hero, who intends to crash the plane into the most evil location on the entire planet: Eastern Kansas. Now, it’s up to some random FBI boss (Joe Mantegna), one of his startlingly sexy agents (Gabrielle Anwar), and a hippie hacker (Craig Sheffer) to stop this...

With Street Kings 2: Motor City out on DVD this week (review here), which stars Ray Liotta and Shawn Hatosy as a pair of detectives investigating a spate of cop killings, we thought we’d take a look at star Ray Liotta’s most memorable roles on both the big, and small screen. So here it is, our Top 10 most memorable Ray Liotta roles…
10) Turbulence
A film that makes the list purely because of the insane performances of everyone involved, none more so than Ray Liotta as Ryan Weaver a murderer who is part of a Christmas Eve transfer of prisoners on a transcontinental 747 commercial flight. Of course once the aircraft takes off Liotta and his motley crew hijack the plane, with only stewardess Terri Halloran (Lauren Holly) to stop them And land the plane!
9) Hannibal
Another Liotta flick that only makes the list beacuse of it’s sheer ridiculousness...

I just love nutjobs on the Internet, don't you? recently, on the Hallmark Channel community, a new crazy created a forum topic asking Hallmark Channel to please stop actress Catherine Hicks from appearing on the network anymore because of her work in horror movies. Hicks starred in Chucky's debut movie Child's Play, the thriller Turbulence, as Dr. Gillian Taylor in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and the 1982 slasher Death Valley. Oh! And she's also the mom on 7th Heaven, the obnoxious family show now running on The Hallmark Channel.
"She is sending out something subconscious in her onscreen work. The character Annie may be a ministers wife, but the actress Catherine Hicks is a mercenary - selling her own soul, and endangering the sensibilities of her viewers, just to make money." says Crazy...
