Nothing distinguished about this series western, which follows the adventures of Montana, raised by the Indians and graduate of the Carlisle Indian School.
The exposition is the best part of the film. We get stock footage of pioneer activity and Indian raids to go with the quite well matched explanatory footage.
Our hero grows up to be the less than gifted actor Montana, who has a feather in his hat so that we'll know he's like Buck Jones in WHITE EAGLE or Charlton Heston in THE SAVAGE.
The depiction of the Indians is occasionally novel and given interesting detail like the prohibition on their carrying guns and the sympathetic farmer allowing them to steal the odd cow.
Technically very rough.
