Josh Kirby, a 20th century teenager joins 25th century scientist Irwin 1138 aboard his timeship "The Time Pod", across space and time. As Irwin 1138 is on a quest, as he searches for the scattered pieces of "The Nullifier", a device, which, if it falls into the wrong hands, could destroy the universe and prevent an evil scientist Dr. Zoetrope from taking posession of the pieces of the Nullifier. Their search for the first piece of the Nullifer brings Josh and Irwin 1138 to an medieval England-like world, where knights ride on dinosaurs, instead of horses and Josh and Irwin 1138 gain a companion in the form of a beautiful half-human Kang warrior woman named Azabeth Siege, who decides to join them in their quest for the Nullifier.
