During his audition, Keith Coulouris bloodied his nose and gave himself a shiner doing a back flip. He ended up getting the part, and did a successful flip during filming.
Rhu is now a lion despite being played by a tiger in the previous two films!
Props from the movie are on display at the Studio Diner. It's located next to the Stu Segall Productions Studio, where this movie was filmed.
Sandra Hess and Casper Van Dien would later appeared in separate Mortal Kombat project, Hess played Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) and Van Dien played Johnny Cage in Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011).
Kodo and Podo are still here, despite having been given away to Jackie in LA in the previous film.
