This movie is little known, even here in Austria. I suppose it had no good publicity because there are no cabaret artists acting in it (except Reinhard Nowak). But that's a pity because it's really a most entertaining and interesting movie, a light tragicomedy with great performances. Especially Serge Falck convinced me in his first leading role, I think. Before, he only had a supporting role in the popular TV-series Kaisermühlen Blues`. Here, his character is much more developed and worth thinking about. He plays a charming and witty young man who manages his life perfectly because he has a talent to manipulate the people around him and use them for his own purposes. He doesn't do it intentionally and it works as long as people are not aware of the fact that they are only tools that help making Serge Falck's every-day life successful. Once he is in serious troubles, his friends notice how he really is and are not able to obey him any more. Serge Falck co-wrote the script and he wrote this role for himself: intelligent, superior, cold.
This is a film about the question: Is it possible to have everxthing under control? Is it possible to build up relationships only by rational thinking? I don't remember an American movie that treated this topic in a more amusing and likeable way.
