Before the opening credits, there is a scene of Pumuckl sitting on his bed next to a picture of Gustl Bayrhammer. He said in tears "This film I dedicate to you, dear Master Eder". Gustl Bayrhammer who played Master Eder died shortly after the movie was filmed.

Better watch the TV series

This movie has too much of those German wannabe-actors and too less of great Gustl Bayerhammer. Pumuckl himself has seen funnier times, too. Fans of the 1979 TV series will be quite disappointed by this sequel.
