In April 2013 was one of the first handful of feature films successfully to restore and remaster via Kickstarter.
A large number of props in the film were bright pink, even if they were grossly out of place (e.g. pink folders in the trial sequence, and pink number plates on all the cars used). This was done intentionally by the director, who wanted something pink in every scene of the movie.
Due to the nature of the film, many prop houses were unwilling to supply props, leading to an unusual situation where the fetish props were easier for the production team to get hold of than more conventional items like tables and lamps.
The last film to be banned in Ireland in the twentieth century. Also banned in the Philippines for promoting "lesbianism and other immoral acts."
The convertible Morgan Plus 8 sports car driven by Cutts-Watson (played by Roger Lloyd Pack) was the director's own car.
