The epilogue notes that Neal Cassady died in 1968 at the age of 42. In actuality, he died four days before his 42nd birthday.
This film is supposedly based on "the Joan Anderson letter," a letter Cassady wrote to Jack Kerouac. This letter was 16,000 words long, but when Cassady is shown finishing it and putting it in an envelope, it is just one page. The published letter is 190 pages (Amazon hardcover), which would not even begin to fit on one typewritten sheet.
Dianne Reeves wasn't born until 1956 but her "Jingle Bells" is used in the soundtrack.
A boom mic can be seen during a scene at Joan's house. This could be due to a cropping / widescreen presentation issue.
