This film originally had difficulty finding a distributor until viewed by African American attorney Henri Norris who created New Millenia Films specifically to distribute it.
When Peter Bratt was searching for an actress to portray "Evey", he remarked to his friend Cyril Neville (who composed the music for the film) that he wanted an Alfre Woodard-type to play the role. Understanding Bratt's limited budget, Neville contacted Woodard's agent who sent her the script and she offered to perform the role of Evey without pay.
Filmed in just 17 days with a $100,000 budget.
Peter Bratt's first film.
