A lack of popularity in Germany caused a comic-book series based on the show to be abandoned. One issue was produced and released, shortly before the show's cancellation.
Many viewers have misheard the common lyric in the theme song as the same way. It's mostly misheard as "We love monsters" (as plural), it is actually "We love monster men", the last bit is sung quietly which causes confusion with hearing it. "Monster Men" (as performed by Iggy Pop) is the name of the song.
