Danielle Harris, who plays little sister Hayley, is actually a year older than Katherine Heigl, who plays older sister Alexia, but ten inches shorter than Heigl which helps to create the illusion that Harris is younger than her.
Danielle Harris said in a 2017 interview that this is one of her favorite roles because it's one of the only comedic roles she ever did. She still watches it whenever it comes on.

"Wolverines" appears on the scoreboard and a banner with the image of a wolverine can be seen on the wall as the viking-boat parade float enters the gymnasium bearing the winter festival queen contestants.
