Even CEOs have the desire to do things other than drive the company. And when you are in the gaming industry, these desires are obvious. Helldivers 2 is a captivating game, and one desire of the head of the developer behind it was tickled by a Helldiver. He too wants to play a game but it’s not what he and his team created.
Helldivers 2 was caught in the crossfire as Sony and fans clashed over the PlayStation maker’s decision to mandate Psn and Steam account linking to continue to play the game. However, just a couple of days ago, Sony poured water on the raging fire as it reversed its decision.
Helldivers 2 Players Won’t Mind Terminating Bugs Alongside Him

When you hear the name Seth MacFarlane, you’ll probably know that you’re in for some borderline humor that does hit the spot but not always in the way you’d expect. MacFarlane is funny, which cannot be denied, but his humor has been divisive from the very beginning. Whether it’s Ted, his Oscar hosting gig, or his most famous work, the adult animated series Family Guy, MacFarlane certainly knows how to draw attention to himself. The latter series has, despite all the praise directed at it, often been criticized for its humor and how it tends to take things too far, especially when sensitive social issues are concerned.
Now, this report isn’t about MacFarlane directly, but it is about another Family Guy character, the paraplegic macho police officer Joe Swanson, who is voiced by one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces and voices, Patrick Warburton. The...

One of the most crushing disappointments any studio faced at the box office last year came from Disney in the form of "Lightyear." The unique "Toy Story" spin-off, which focused on the "real" Buzz Lightyear, telling a grounded, sci-fi tale in space, was Pixar's big return to theaters following two years of streaming releases due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, it was a massive misfire, with director Angus MacLane's film taking in just $226 million worldwide against a hefty $200 million production budget. So, what went wrong?
Pete Docter, the director of "Up" and the Chief Creative Officer at Pixar, recently opened up about the situation in an interview with The Wrap. So far as he (and seemingly the rest of the studio) sees it, the movie merely asked too much from the audience, while also suffering from a disconnect related to expectations.
"We've done a lot of soul-searching about that...

Zach Shallcross is related to someone famous. Pic credit: ABC
On last night’s episode of The Bachelorette, fans had to do a double-take during Zach Shallcross’ hometown visit.
As Rachel Recchia went to Zach’s home to meet his family, viewers and Rachel alike were surprised by one of the family members.
This was because Zach’s uncle, Patrick Warburton, was not only on the show Seinfeld, but he also has been a voice actor on the famous Family Guy.
Patrick is the brother of Zach’s mom, Megan, and Zach felt like his uncle was a big enough part of his life to introduce him to his potential future wife.
After the hometown visit, Zach felt entirely comfortable and one hundred percent sure that he was now totally in love with Rachel and told her as much.
The hometown visit went as great as it could as Zach...

(Welcome to My Most Ridiculous Note, a series of interviews in which animators talk about the weirdest and funniest notes they received from studio executives.)
"Kim Possible" was only the second animated series made for Disney Channel (after "The Proud Family"), and it quickly became one of the cable channel's most popular shows. It's easy to see why: It had action, it had comedy, and it had one of the coolest Disney pets ever.
One of the minds behind the show, co-creator Mark McCorkle, has been in the industry long enough to see it go from being dominated by toy commercials to exploding with original (and not-so-original) ideas and genres. He's worked on everything from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" and Hasbro's "Cops" to "Aladdin and the King of Thieves" and "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command."
/Film talked to McCorkle about "Kim Possible," which turned 20 earlier this year,...

To infinity...and beyond! And, also back to the beginning. Pixar's 2022 release Lightyear (in theaters June 17 -- sign up for a FanAlert now) may be far-flung into the future with the interplanetary adventures of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command, but you can also imagine it as a movie existing within the Toy Story universe, watched by little Andy and millions of other kids -- exactly the thing to jumpstart the Buzz Lightyear action figure craze that holiday in 1995. "What...

2020 has been awful for most of us due to the pandemic and the start of this year is no better. Although new movies are not really being made, we are still getting release after realease. I find myself less interested in checking out the big-budget stuff like Tenet and can’t seem to find excitement for Wonder Woman 84. Instead I find myself turning to the lower budget, but way more outlandish, projects that serve up a nice big bowl of escapism. Movies like Knuckledust, Come Away or GLoc.
Recently the trailer for a new Scott Adkins movie dropped called The Intergalactic Adventures of Max Cloud and straight away I was in for this one. I mean come on, Scott Adkins channelling his...

Game Of Thrones only has two short seasons left before it wraps up its series run, and thus will end one of the great pieces of television of the current generation of shows. It'll be a sad day when it happens, but at least we can all rest easy knowing that it went out on its own terms. But wipe those tears away, for fans of the Game Of Thrones author and series executive producer may be happy to learn that the writer isn't done with showbiz just yet.
While Martin has largely made his name as a novelist, one aspect of his career that can't be overlooked is his work as editor of various anthologies. Among these anthologies are Old Venus, Rogues Dangerous Women, Warriors, and of course, Wild Cards, which is the anthology we'll be talking about today.

Back in 2011, it was announced that George R.R. Martin's Wild Cards was headed for a film adaptation but the Game of Thrones author has revealed on his person blog that the superhero fantasy novel series from The Wild Cards Trust is now being developed for television. Said Martin--- “Universal Cable Productions (Ucp) has acquired the rights to adapt our long-running Wild Cards series of anthologies and mosaic novels for television. You may be familiar with George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series which led to HBO's Game of Thrones but for even longer he’s been involved with a science fiction and superhero fantasy anthology called Wild Cards. And he's just announced it's coming to a television near you. Back in 2011 Wild Cards was optioned for a movie by Syfy Films and Universal Pictures. That didn't quite pan out but Martin himself announced the latest news on his LiveJournal which still has Universal involved: Universal Cable Productions (Ucp) has acquired the rights to adapt our long-running Wild Cards series of anthologies and mosaic novels for television. Earlier this month we learned that Disney and Pixar we developing a Toy Story 4 film that will be released in 2017. It looks like Disney has a big reason to keep the Toy Story franchise alive, as they are currently planning to build a gigantic Toy Story themed hotel. Unfortunately for me and a lot of other fans out there, it's being built on the grounds at Shanghai Disneyland Resort, which is scheduled to open in 2016. I don't think I'll ever find myself in Shanghai, so this will most likely be a hotel I never visit, and that makes me sad.
The news comes from The Disney Insider Blog, who also offered a piece of concept art showing us how awesome the hotel is going to look. As you can see, the exterior is based on the classic wallpaper from Andy's bedroom, and the classic Pixar ball is in the center of the entrance.

The iPhone 6 looks as svelte and shiny as we'd hoped, but the true star Apple's special event at the Flint Center for Performing Arts in Cupertino, CA, was the new Apple Watch. It's an iPhone in a watch shape, see. It costs $349 and comes in either 18-karat gold or stainless steel. What a fun, kitschy little item! Except if you buy the Apple Watch, you are doomed to remind your friends of these seven watch-like items of dork culture. Beware. 7. Buzz Lightyear enjoying an imaginary chat with Star Command. 6. Penny from "Inspector Gadget" receiving an alert about her uncle's latest 'copter snafu. 5. The Power Rangers and their Casio-type superhero toys. 4. Kim Possible kimmunicating on her Kimmunicator 3. This broke-down Spiderman being a broke-down Spiderman. 2. Spychildren. And finally, look out. Here it comes. Shield your eyes. 1. The existence of "Cowboys & Aliens" You're welcome.
