The Young and the Restless (Y&r) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) resorts to extremes to help an out of control Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
However, by the end of the week, it is teased that Jack has to pay the consequences for his actions. So, what exactly does Jack do to help Nikki, and what would be the possible consequences?
The Young And The Restless spoilers – Jordan’s Death Ruse
Y&R spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) followed Nikki and made sure Jordan (Colleen Zenk) didn’t go to that meeting. Victor chloroformed Jordan, then took her to his own homemade prison.
However, Jordan told Nikki, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and others that Jordan died when cornered. Of course, fans know that’s not what happened at all.
Y&r Spoilers – Nikki Newman Spirals
Nikki already blames herself for everything Jordan has done to the Newman family.

This Star Trek: Picard article contains spoilers.
After the easter egg bonanza of “The Bounty,” it’s time for Picard to dial it back in the callback department. But while the latest episode, “Dominion,” doesn’t have nearly as many references to the past as last week’s episode, almost all of these nods push the plot forward. Picard season 3 is entering the final phase of its massive story and “Dominion” raises the stakes in huge ways.
Here are all the best easter eggs, shout-outs, and references we found in the episode…
Chin’toka Scrapyard
The episode opens with the Titan hiding in the Chin’toka Scrapyard. This means we’re back in the Chin’toka system, which first appeared in Deep Space Nine. This system was featured in several DS9 episodes, such as “Tears of the Prophets” and “The Siege of Ar-558.” The Breen and the Dominion blew away...

Harrison Ford is one of the biggest movie stars of all time. He went from the "cool big brother" in roles like Han Solo and Indiana Jones, then graduated to "America's Dad" in the Jack Ryan movies and "Air Force One." What kid in the '80s didn't want to be Ford, and what kid in the '90s didn't want to be raised (and rescued from terrorists) by him? As an '80s and '90s kid, I'm well-versed in Ford's filmography, having seen almost all of his movies. Yes, even the obscure ones like "The Frisco Kid." Okay, I've missed a lot of his 2000s and 2010s run, but let's be honest, Ford's choices have been pretty inexplicable ("Cowboys & Aliens?"; "Extreme Measures?"; "Morning Glory?"). No, I prefer prime Ford.
Rather than be smothered by Captain Solo and Dr. Jones, Ford used his most famous roles to craft...

Major spoilers ahead for "Cobra Kai" season 5.
"Cobra Kai" season 5 is finally here, and it's been a rough road for Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Amanda Larusso (Courtney Henggeler). Daniel's obsession with Cobra Kai and the evil Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) has caused friction between the couple before, but in season 5, episode 5, "Extreme Measures," it made her leave with the kids to visit her mother in Ohio. While Amanda is there, she meets up with her cousin Jessica. Does the name sound familiar to you? In the scene, Jessica reveals that she knows Terry Silver, and that he is absolutely as bad as Daniel has been saying. Plus, Jessica was the person who introduced Amanda to Daniel in the first place.
Yes, Amanda's cousin is Jessica Andrews, played by Robyn Lively, and she starred with Ralph Macchio in "The Karate Kid Part III." Let's break down who Jessica Andrews is,...

Welcome to The B-Side, from The Film Stage. Here we talk about movie stars and not the movies that made them famous or kept them famous, but the ones they made in between.
Today we cross the pond to talk about Hugh Grant, the floppy-haired Brit who made his fortune in rom-coms and never felt great about it. Though he is in character actor mode now–currently in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen–we look back to the 90s and his stratospheric rise to stardom. Conor and I are joined by Joseph Galbo, a good friend and big-time film fan who does impressive work for the wonderfully bizarre Uscpsc, the social media account for the Us Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Whenever I stop to think about how long it’s been since the Scream movies first debuted in theaters, it makes me feel, well, old. Heck, the installment we’re discussing today – Scream 2 – was rolled out during my freshman year of high school, and is now celebrating its twentieth anniversary.
Now, all these years later, I can’t help but appreciate the franchise for the same reasons I did back in the day: It had all the elements of the classic slasher, while also serving as a commentary on the horror genre itself and, on top of that, succeeded in enthralling moviegoers such as myself with its whodunit nature. In other words, perhaps the biggest appeal in watching any Scream movie is eventually finding out just who’s under the iconic Ghostface mask that time around.

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from “The Good Doctor,” Episode 10, “Sacrifice.”]
On “The Good Doctor,” Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), who has autism and savant syndrome, has been figuring out how to work at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital, but he’s also had a couple allies. Fellow resident Dr. Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas) has been one of Shaun’s newer friends whom he’s relied on to demystify the female point of view. While Claire has had a troubled arc throughout the season so far — ranging from losing a patient to dealing with prejudice — her latest trial has cost someone their job.
When she first has concerns about working with Dr. Coyle (Eric Winter) after he inappropriately rubs her back, she tells her colleague and lover Dr. Jared Kalu (Chuku Modu), who dismisses the actions as Coyle merely trying to establish rapport. But the behaviors escalate, and when Claire rebuffs Coyle’s far more explicit invitation to sleep with him,...

Some days you just can't win.
More than a few members of the Ed team seemed disheartened at the end of Chicago Med Season 2 Episode 5. Poor Nat and Sarah were in an impossible position, and even though Choi solved the mystery of his patient's illness, there was only so much he could do about the underlying cause.
A few were able to look for the silver lining though. Even if Will spent the majority of the hour freaking out and second guessing the decisions he made, he had Nina to fall back on for support. And Noah finally did something to make April proud!
I know we just talked about this, but the promos from hell struck again. And here's what I didn't say last time: this hurts the show. These promos, designed to get fans psyched while drawing in new viewers, only end up letting everyone down.

Another Dick Wolf fake-out trailer strikes again.
Seriously, if there was an Emmy category for most creatively misleading promo, Chicago Med Season 2 Episode 4 would have it in the bag. Despite the lack of follow through on all that hype, there was plenty of damn good medicine, and possibly the grossest procedure so far.
In addition to the nauseating abscess drainage, there was plenty of human drama to captivate us. Nat may be more confused about her relationships than ever, even as she helped Connor understand his teacher. And it turns out that Dr. Charles is great at helping others, but he's got plenty of his own problems too.
I can't decide if the editor who puts together the promos for Med should be fired or promoted to the writing staff. I'm sick of teasers that are so misleading, but at the same time, the stories that they pitch us are so much.

The hugely ambitious Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has no shortage of classic episodes. And you'll find a few Klingons here too...
Spoilers lie ahead for Star Trek: Deep Space 9
See related Little Me: My Life From A-z by Matt Lucas review
Overlapping with both Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's seven seasons had some very high points, It also had some very low ones that strayed a bit too far from the core of Star Trek for some fans, yet gave the show a unique texture that some savour.
If you only ever watch 25 stories from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, these are they, at least in my opinion – the only rule being that multi-part episodes count as one story (but great big multi-season Dominion flavoured arcs don't!)

Universal Pictures released their new action/thriller flick, "Jurassic World," into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out and thought it was very entertaining, delivering a ton of suspense and action galore. It stars: Bryce Dallas Howard, Judy Greer, Chris Pratt, Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D'Onofrio, Bd Wong, Omar Sy, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapkus and Andy Buckley. In the new flick, the plotline is set 22 years after the Isla Nublar incident, and Jurassic World is a new, fully functional dinosaur theme park located on the island. Brothers ,Zach and Gray Mitchell, go to visit their aunt Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), who is the park's operations manager. However, when they get there, Claire's too busy for them, so she hands them off to her assistant , Zara, promising she'll spend time with them later on. From there, Claire gets a first look at the new...

Has Sjp's role as Kira Supernova in Escape From Planet Earth fostered a belief in aliens? Is it the best-named character she has ever played? And is she sick of being asked about Sex and the City 3?
Hello Sarah. Is Escape From Planet Earth your first animated movie?
I think it's the first full-length theatrical release. I don't recall any more, to be honest. I've probably done short-form voice stuff before. (1)
And this is your third space-themed movie.
It is? Remind me.
Well, there was Flight of the Navigator, and then Mars Attacks!
Ah, yes, you're right. I seem to be drawn to the genre, even though I don't even remember that I am.
In some ways, would you see this as the completion of a trilogy?
Oh my God, I love that you're looking at it with such a scholarly approach. Yes! Let's pretend that that's exactly why I did it.

As I watched director Lance Daly’s medical thriller The Good Doctor, I kept thinking about a particular bit from the podcast Doug Loves Movies. In it, comedian Paul F. Tompkins describes character actor Jeffrey Wright’s “histrionic” performance in Source Code, wherein Wright utilizes an unnecessary prop cane and blustery cadence for a minor character in a popcorn action movie.
In The Good Doctor, former Numbers star Rob Morrow similarly approaches his supporting role. As chief resident Dr. Waylans, he delivers his lines with a weird mumble and fiddles with a pair of glasses that he removes by disconnecting the magnetic bridge. He was all I could focus on, and not in a good way. The theatrical quirks were distracting, not that there was much to distract from in this sleepy indie.

Tony Gilroy is pretty much the model of a working Hollywood screenwriter in the year 2012. He's crossed over and become a director as well, but when you look at his career path in general, this is a guy who had to define himself while doing works for hire, something that can easily grind up a writer, even a smart and dedicated one. "The Bourne Legacy" is a long way from "The Cutting Edge," Gilroy's first produced piece of work, and when you look at his '90s credits, he worked on a lot of studio pictures like "Armageddon," "Extreme Measures," "The...

Do not read on unless you've seen Season 2, Episode 8 of HBO's "Game of Thrones," entitled "The Prince of Winterfell."
As was the case with last week's episode, "The Prince of Winterfell" was something of a set-up episode. Enjoyable as it was -- and there were a lot of solidly rewarding scenes -- you could be forgiven for occasionally thinking, as I did, that there was a slightly scattered quality to the episode, as the pieces were put into place for the Giant Battle They Have Been Talking About Forever. It was a little like those episodes you'd get near the end of a season of "Lost," where characters trekked all over the island so that they were all in place for the final act of that year's drama.
At some point, we all just want the big "GoT" battle to get here (and it will, soon enough). But there was...

This isn't the sort of movie that we normally see Hugh Grant agree to make. The guy is drawn to romcoms of various stripes, with the last vaguely edgy movie he made possibly being the '96 thriller Extreme Measures. So it's a big surprise -- and not an unpleasant one -- to see Grant booking a role in Cloud Atlas, the century-spanning, genre-hopping literary adaptation from co-writers and co-directors Tom Tykwer and Andy & Lana Wachowski. Screen Daily [1] reports the casting; Grant joins a core cast that includes [2] Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw, and Jim Broadbent. Each of these actors, as we've reported in the past, will play multiple roles [3], and some of those roles may even have the talents playing different genders and races [4]. In addition to Screen's mention of Hugh Grant, Variety [5] finally confirms that Bae Doona is in the film, and adds Keith David,...

An Aardman Production For Sony Pictures Animation Martin Freeman, David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Jeremy Piven, Salma Hayek, Brian Blessed, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen Also On Board
Culver City, Calif. – Hugh Grant will voice the lead role alongside an all-star cast in The Pirates! Band Of Misfits, the new stop-motion, 3D, animated film produced by Aardman Animations for Sony Pictures Animation. The film, which will be distributed by Columbia Pictures, will be released March 30, 2012 in North America.
Hugh Grant, starring in his first animated role, is the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain – a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas. With a rag-tag crew at his side (Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen), and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) to...

After a lengthy search, Universal Pictures has chosen the actor they want to replace Matt Damon in the Bourne franchise, and that actor is two-time Academy Award nominee Jeremy Renner.
It's being reported that Universal has "formally offered" the role to Renner, and that he's expected to sign on very soon. He'll be playing a new character in that world and not the Jason Bourne character Damon played. The movie, which is considered a spinoff of the original trilogy that was based on the books of Robert Ludlum, will be an original story about "...an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne."
The new movie, titled The Bourne Legacy, is set to be directed by Tony Gilroy, who has previously delivered Michael Clayton and Duplicity. Gilroy is also writing the screenplay after penning the scripts for The Bourne Identity,...

There are dragons in Narnia? Well I'll be damned. Yet another new full-length international trailer for Fox's The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader debuted yesterday and I was just convinced to post it by @equustel on Twitter, mostly because of that dragon fight at the end. This actually looks really good, I mean like really, really good - I want to see it! "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" gives the first full look at the Dawn Treader ship while sailing in the movie's poster. The image is the CGI version of the real ship constructed and made of wood for the filming in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
The third of the "Narnia" franchise, "Dawn Treader", the film follows Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace and their royal friend King Caspian, who find themselves swallowed into a painting and on to the Dawn Treader. As they embark on an incredible adventure of destiny and discovery, they confront obstacles beyond imagination.

In addition to that gloriously posed photo of Reepicheep (now voiced by Simon Pegg!) above, Narnia Fans has also unveiled a fairly epic teaser poster for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader that I thought was worth featuring. But I'm not the biggest Narnia fan and I'm worried about this being any good, since the first two weren't my favorites. Harrison Ford could be joining Jon Favreau’s sci-fi western mash-up, Cowboys and Aliens. Latino Review received a cryptic message that when put through the “Movie Speak Quadrangulator” said, Ford is going to sign up to:
“a huge comic book movie to be directed by a director coming off a soon to be released huge comic book movie”
Looks like Indy has been pining for some big action adventure after the disappointing Extreme Measures. Add to this, Favreau’s announcement via Twitter, that:
“Some very cool Cowboys & Aliens casting news coming soon…”
Interesting stuff, no? Ford obviously still wants to play in the major leagues even though he’s fast approaching 70, but he’s incredibly healthy for his age. Look at all the running, jumping and punching he did in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The man can still do action. So what role will he be taking?...

In a recent interview with the BBC, Harrison Ford discussed what everybody in the world wants to know: why was Extreme Measures rubbish? Only joking! Of course, we all want to know if there will be another adventure for Professor Henry Jones Jnr. Ford didn’t say too much about the prospect but added the story has started taking shape:
“Steven and George and I are sort of agreed on a germ of an idea and we’re seeing what comes of it. The process works like this… We come to some basic agreement and then George goes away for a long time and works on it. Then Steven and I get it in some form, some embryonic form. Avatar kept trucking over the weekend, boasting not only the biggest gross by far but also the smallest decline among nationwide releases. James Cameron's juggernaut calmed by just 18 percent, which was almost as small as Titanic at the same point. Raking in $34.9 million, Avatar broke the record for sixth weekend gross formerly held by Titanic's $25.2 million (though Titanic retains the crown in terms of estimated attendance).
On Saturday, its 37th day, Avatar surpassed The Dark Knight's $533.3 million total to become the second highest-grossing movie of all time, though, in terms of attendance, it likely hasn't yet cracked the Top 50. At its current trajectory, Avatar will exceed Titanic's $600.8 million total within two weeks. In 38 days, Avatar's tally stands at $551.7 million, 80 percent of which from 3D presentations (including 16 percent from IMAX venues alone).

What did you all think of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Did you all like the CGI monkeys and gophers? Yeah, thought so. The film was a major disappointment for a lot of people (I loved it, for some reason), but raked in lots of money on its release in 2008. During press junket duties for new “real life” drama Extreme Measures, Ford discussed with MTV the prospect of further adventures for one of cinema’s greatest heroes and pondered what it might be about:
“I think it would be interesting to advance the understanding of the character, as we always have had that ambition throughout the series. I think it would be interesting to deepen the relationship between he and his son and play on that relationship. … It’s full of opportunity. The series is full of opportunity.”

So I’d finished my last list and I was happy with it, then someone mentioned in the comments that I’d forgotten Brad Dourif and I realised what a fool I’d been. There are far more than ten actors/actresses that belonged on this list. So I’ve only gone and done another bloody one. Here it is: 1. David Morse The first time David Morse hit my patented ‘Good actors that make everything better’© radar was in “Extreme Measures” with Hugh Grant. It’s a great story about a silly English fop with a stupid fringe who stutters and walks into things and falls in love with a movie star played by Morse in a wig. Wait, that was something else (Transformers?). Anyway he plays a really creepy FBI agent and for me was the best thing about “Extreme Measures”, and since then he’s only served to...

There are an inordinate number of movies -- particularly romantic comedies -- that start out as nothing more than a one-sentence pitch. Someone comes up with a high concept idea -- a separated Manhattan couple are relocated to a backwoods Wyoming town as a part of the witness relocation program, where they fall in love all over again, in the case of Did You Hear About the Morgans? -- and studio producers assign that pitch to a writer or even a writer/director (Marc Lawrence, Music and Lyrics) in this case), and a couple of actors are attached to the project, usually before a script is even put forward.
What I don't really understand about Hollywood -- and here's where I betray some ignorance -- is who comes up with this boneheaded pitches in the first place? A roomful of monkeys in a poo-flinging brainstorm session? I used to have...

Well, here we are. After years of production and months of hope above hype and backlash against backlash, James Cameron's famously-labeled "game-changer" Avatar has finally unfolded before a great many of our eyes -- $73 million worth, give or take an Eastern Seaboard blizzard -- and about as many people were blown away by the top-notch 3-D spectacle as they were irritated by the well-worn story and pandering parallels to our present day problems. Time will tell if Avatar has the legs to earn back its alleged budget of $300-400 million (fans are already keen on repeat viewings, and it's very much an awards contender now), though next week's (very fun) Sherlock Holmes stands to have even broader appeal and success.

The decade is nearly done and Hugh Grant is about to come out with his eighth romantic comedy of the 2000s. "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" reunites the dean of British rom-coms with his onetime co-star Sarah Jessica Parker in a film that takes a big-city married couple on the outs and transplants them to middle-of-nowhere Wyoming after they are forced to enter a witness-protection program.
In the midst of the madness-inducing monotony of a studio-driven media junket in London, Grant sat down with MTV News to discuss what strokes his ego, his occasionally self-conscious feelings about his famously floppy 'do and why Sarah Jessica is kinda freakish.

"Avatar"
After more than a decade on hiatus, James Cameron returns from his days as "King of the World" with a mind on conquering a few new ones in this sci-fi epic that the director maintains will alter the face of moviemaking forever. (Early reviews seem to agree.) A galaxy away from Cameron's days as a miniature maker on Roger Corman's "Battle Beyond the Stars," "Avatar" blends performance capture technology with real world photography to create Pandora, where a troubled U.S. marine (Sam Worthington) is tasked with infiltrating the Na'vi, a tribe of primitive but proud aliens, via a genetically created body, though he finds his loyalties torn when he falls in love with one of their own (Zoe Saldana). The film's reported $300 million price tag is surely...

So one of these men played Indiana Jones for years; one played a decent pretender to his crown - but now, Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser are working together to cure dread diseases in Extraordinary Measures, the generically-titled medical drama that's just released its trailer online.Based - in the fine old tradition of, say, Lorenzo's Oil - on a true story, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell here play parents whose two children are afflicted with a rare, and fatal, genetic disorder. In desperation they seek out anti-social but brilliant research scientist who might, maybe, be able to help.We have a feeling that this is one of those trailers that tells you pretty much the whole story of the film, but there looks to be a fair amount of emotion, conflict, redemption and possibly miracle-working in there, so if you're into triumph-over-the-odds stories, this could be perfect for you.
