I saw this while I was channel surfing past HBO and came upon this film staring the dude from Strictly Ballroom and everyone's fave rave drag queen, RuPaul. It's an interesting independent film about guys who plot a scheme to help sick folks get free AZT. It's surprising what a light hearted fluffy comedy they make out of such a potentially dark subject but it works. It ain't a masterpiece but it's light breezy fun. The sort of movie that goes straight to video but is surprisingly fun. Chuck Winkler has made a much better movie with this than his gawdawful Taxi Driver parody, 'You Talking' To Me?'. Not that it would be hard to top that! Ciao!
An oddly charming film from what I can remember. Not as intelligent or thought-provoking as I'm sure it wanted to be, it's still a fun caper with a narrative unique to the genre, and a message, albeit somewhat trite, that prevents it from becoming another "little guy vs. big corporation" movie.
