- TriviaDolly Parton wrote and sang the song "I Will Always Love You". In an interview on the Graham Norton show, she said that when they asked to use the song for the movie, she sent it in and forgot about it. Then one day she was driving from her office to her house in Nashville when she heard Whitney Houston's version on the radio. She had to pull over to the side of the road in order to finish listening to it, because she was blown away by how beautifully the song was done, and by how beautifully Whitney Houston sang it.
- GoofsNominees for Best Actor & Best Actress Oscars traditionally sit in the first few rows for the ceremony. When Rachel is announced as Best Actress & stands, she is seated in about the 20th row. Following the camera in slow motion, Rachel proceeds to walk down the aisle, shaking hands with many rows of people congratulating her. This was obviously done for dramatic effect, as it gives the camera time to zero in on who is trying to shoot her.
- Quotes
Sy Spector: Bill said you used to be with the Secret Service.
Frank: That's right.
Sy Spector: Ever guard the main man?
Frank: I was two years with Carter, four with Reagan.
Sy Spector: Reagan got shot!
Frank: Not on my shift.

Featured review
Despite a few dumb twists, The Bodyguard is a really good romantic drama. Kevin Costner is great in the lead role and Whitney Houston is really good in her debut role and they have good chemistry. It's well paced, well filmed and Mick Jackson's direction is good. The music by Alan Silvestri is really good and the soundtrack is excellent.
