Great cinematography and soundtrack

It's been many years since I've seen this, given it's rarity (released in 1992 but still not available on DVD, with old VHS copies advertised for up to 150 euros online). The Pixies soundtrack throughout makes for a great atmosphere when combined with stunning cinematography of sweeping beaches and also when Albert and his cohorts drive around at breakneck speed. Crazy kids. I have to confess I barely remember a thing about the plot, just the lasting effect it's had on me.

The main reason I wrote this was really to discover if anyone else has seen it (I see there's only one review on this site, with which I heartily agree) and to try and get some kind of campaign going to get this marvellous film released properly. Given Bruno Nuytten's fame as a cinematographer, it's sure to be very well received.

The angel's dive

This movie is particularly touching because of Julien Rassam's biography. I've seen this movie at least 10 times and think more and more about the way he died. WHY did he want to die ?

He was such talented, as an actor he felt every emotions and was able to show them...In this movie as the title says 'he suffers'but his pain doesn't make him blind, he sees the pain of his friend, of his "girlfriend"...he kind of suffers for them too. words that could describe the movie :crazy-real-beautiful-amazing-real and ...real.

The music is great too, where is my mind is the song that fit the most with it.

One of the best

For me, Albert Souffre is one of my favorite movies. I´ve only seen it once, and I stood frozen on my T.V.. Firstly I started hearing the music (my favorite band, Pixies is on the soundtrack) and then I realise that (to me)the movie was like generating videoclips of the musics made by the Pixies. It´s a very special movie. I would like to hear more about the movie, and specially if theres is a cd soundtrack of this movie, and if so, where could I found it? I´m open to talk about the movie and happy as I said to learn some more about Albert Souffre.I give it % stars...It´s BEAUTIFUL!! :)
