I've been trying to track this show down for awhile. I couldn't remember the title of it. As I recall, it was the first show that parodied COPS (way before Reno 911). I think there were at least two episodes aired. One of the funniest bits involved a woman who locked her baby inside a car. The one officer comes up and smashes the window in with his mag light next to the baby. The woman screams and the officer says "You should be proud, did she see those reflexes when he turned his head?" Another bit involved an overweight cop who was chasing a thief carrying a T.V. and the thief out ran him. All the other cops poke fun at him. It would be great to track this show down and see it again.

I only caught half of one episode, but what I saw, made me laugh my ass off.
But that doesn't matter, because this "Cops" parody never had a chance. Don't believe me? Ever see a non-animated sitcom without a laugh track that lasted more than a couple of months? No? Neither have I. Would we still have "Action" if it had a laugh track?
Me, I don't like being told when I'm supposed to laugh. But I guess some people do.

It wasn't on for very long, but I still remember some of the situations that are still funny. 1. "There's two kinds of people - criminals and victims. What I like about my job is turning criminals into victims." 2. Things were going on in the background. One episode had the dispatcher frequently announcing an APB on a red sports car. In each scene the red sports car would turn a corner or drive by while the main characters were discussing a point or pursuing a different story line. 3. One of the last episodes had a cop-friends backyard barbecue/picnic and a car alarm goes off somewhere down the street. The off-duty police characters (about 20) all "clammered" through and over the fence with guns drawn to investigate the "crime."
Why was this cancelled and where can I get a copy of it. Hilarious start to finish! Wish someone would pick up the script and run with it. Total parody of the show cops, the police were bumbling and fumbling through the daily routine with a camera crew following them. Covered work and home life of the officers it was about. Original comedy the Hollywood dropped probably to make another Law and Order or NCIS. Write your local congressman to get this show reinstated today!
I'm running out of things to say to reach the minimum characters for the review to be published........oh, here we are, finally.
