There are only a few movies on my 2011 Must-See list. The want-to-see list is large, but must-see, that's an exclusive grouping. It did, however, just get larger by one: I must see Super.
Starring Rainn Wilson as an everyman loser, Super tells the story of an Average Joe who loses his super-hot wife to a bad guy. Legitimately a bad guy; the other man is a drug dealer in this story. So yeah, the story seems to borrow a lot from Kick-Ass, including the adorable, foul-mouthed girl sidekick. And it even feels a bit Pineapple Express, with the drug dealer story included. Super, however, promises to bring as many laughs as those two movies: and if it does, wouldn't that be amazing?
Rainn Wilson is joined by a stellar cast. Liv Tyler (Lord of the Rings, The Incredible Hulk) plays his straying wife, and Kevin Bacon (Apollo 13, X-Men: First Class) is the drug-dealing baddie.
