Three of the dancers featured in the film, Oliver Crumes Jr., Kevin Alexander Stea, and Gabriel Trupin, sued Madonna for invasion of privacy, fraud and deceit, and intentional misrepresentation.
Kevin Costner was reportedly dismayed about Madonna making the 'gag gesture' after he called her concert "neat". He refused to comment on it in interviews at the time, but admitted that fifteen years later, while attending her concert with his children, she unexpectedly apologized to him from stage.
Madonna and Warren Beatty were no longer an item by the time this premiered. Some of the phone calls Madonna recorded for inclusion in the film had Beatty saying 'I love you' but she had to edit them from the final cut when he threatened legal action. Contrary to popular belief, he's not the oldest guy she dated. Christopher Flynn, one of the singer's pre-fame conquests, was six years Beatty's senior.
