When released in Japan, a music video featuring the song "In The Full Moonlight" followed the closing credits. When ADVision translated the video into English, they discovered that the lyrics were so ludicrous (one line was: "I am chewing gum") that they rewrote the lyrics so the subtitles had no relation to what was being said.
ADV Films first home video anime release.
This video was released between Devil Hunter Yohko 3 and Devil Hunter Yohko 5 and originally had no number attached to it. The producers didn't want to make a Devil Hunter Yohko 4, because the Japanese kanji for "4" also means "death."
This video was produced at the same time as a Mega-CD (the Japanese Sega-CD) game of the same name (and starring the same character) as a special way to promote the game. The character of Yohko had already existed for a couple of years as a PC game character, but the Mega-CD game was the only other game to ever feature her. The anime, on the other hand, became so popular that it spawned several direct-to-video sequels.
Aya Hisakawa, who performs Yohko's voice, wrote the song "So Bad Boy" which she also sings.
