Jack and Natalie's hair during the chase.
Natalie's hat and lipstick disappears and reappears between shots.
While on the highway, Inside shots of the BMW reveal that the door locks repeatedly go from the locked position (down) to unlocked (up) back to locked again during the same scene.
While on the freeway, from shots within the car, they pass the same building several times in several scenes. The actual building is located on Beltway 8 at Richmond Ave in Houston, Texas.
During the love-making scene, the car's gauges are shown and the fuel gauge shows full. At the speeds and duration that they had been driving, the gauge should have been lower than full.
With just 10 miles to go to the Mexican border the daylight goes from bright sunlight to the dead of night. At the high-speed chase they were on, that distance would have been covered in far less than 10 minutes, far too quickly for the sun to completely set.
During the "monster truck" sequence, there's a scene inside the car. The guy in the passenger seat is shown from behind, talking to the driver. Through the windshield a jolly roger flag is visible, "pointing" left. At the speed the car is going it should "point" to the back of the car.
Jack says that a neighbor saw him as a clown and called the police, thinking he was the Red Nose Robber, and the police arrested him. Legally, this is impossible. An arrest requires probable cause, which are a set of facts that when taken together would lead a reasonable person to believe that a crime has been committed and the person arrested likely committed it. Jack's mere job as a clown would not be enough to arrest him for anything.
The candy bar that Jack pulls out of his pocket, after a full-day of car chases, would have been a misshapen, partially melted mess, but when Natalie opens it and breaks off a piece, it looks brand new.
Throughout the movie the odometer reads 1200 miles.
When Will and Dale run from the green monster truck before it blows up, it is obviously two stuntmen who look nothing like the actors portraying Will and Dale.
When Charlie explains to Natalie that he used a candy bar instead of a gun, the candy bar is hard and fresh when she opens it, not soft and melted despite being sat on by Charlie for a considerable length of time.
At about 48:00, Jack crosses over to the shoulder lane that has multiple warning bumps, which, when driven over, are loud and bumpy. No noise or jarring of the vehicle is heard or seen.
Some footage from the news helicopter is completely stationary and obviously not actually filmed from a moving helicopter.
In the opening scene, the license plate of the VW Rabbit is 2NUB498. But when the call comes in on the police walkie-talkie, the stolen car's plate is stated as BU7996.
When the convenience store clerk slides the guns across the floor, the sound they make while sliding indicates that they are made of plastic, not metal.
Obvious rig holding the green monster truck when it is sliding.
When the driver and passenger are seen exiting the green monster truck, just before the explosion, they are clearly the character's stunt doubles.
During many of the car explosions and car turnovers, the hydrualic jacks used to flip the cars are visible falling out.
The camera, operator and additional crew members are reflected in the side of the car several times.
As the 18-wheeler goes into a jack-knife, a crew member can be seen running behind the trailer.
The 'Welcome to Newport Beach' sign seen during the chase is obviously fake - the sign with the fountains is actually the Mecom Fountain located in the Houston, TX Museum District.
Obviously not filmed on the I-5 in San Diego near the Mexican border.
In the DVD menu, Jack and Natalie are sitting in a convertible version of the BMW coupe used in the movie.
At about 14:01, after Nathalie pukes on the police car's windshield, the cop tries to turn on the wiper. However, what he does is actually turning on the turn-signal lamp. The operation of turning on wipers should be twisting the ring on the multi-stalk (which has ability to control wiper, high-beam, turn-signal).
