John Waters and Glenn Robbins were considered for the role of Ben Bell which in the end was cast with actor Geoff Morrell.
The movie's source stage play of the same ''No Worries'' name by by source playwright and the film's screenwriter David Holman was first performed on 6th March 1984 at Theatre 62 in Hilton, South Australia as part of that year's Adelaide Festival of Arts.
