Filmed as both feature film and 6-part TV-series. After principal photography in 1990, it took 3 years to its limited opening in cinemas, mostly due to war in Croatia (1991-1995). It took a few years more for TV-series showing on Croatian national TV (HTV).
Official submission of Croatia for the 'Best Foreign Language Film' category of the 66th Academy Awards in 1994.
