Around a year back there were strong talks about Rohit Shetty remaking Sanjiv Kumar starrer Angoor with Shah Rukh Khan. In fact the director and the actor had apparently agreed on the basic premise as well which was inspired by William Shakespeare's play 'Comedy of Errors', only to drop the idea and make Chennai Express instead. Just when the rumours had settled, grapevine has it that Ranbir Kapoor may have been approached to step into the same shoes. The only tiny problem though is that except for Ranbir himself, everyone else seems to be aware about the development.
"Ranbir has absolutely no idea from where are these rumours originating. He hasn't even heard about any such film and nothing has been offered to him yet. It is strange that his name has been dragged into this so-called remake which is supposed to go on floors soon", says a close associate of the actor.

Mumbai: Govinda, actor turned politician turned actor, maybe a superstar but he certainly has no airs. He is a simple man, very humble and charming as is evident with his talks.
His very first film in the industry, ‘Ilzaam’, was a super hit and he became a star overnight, inundated with plenty film offers. But he says, he had no time to enjoy his stardom as he was busy providing for his family. Nearly 120 films later, Govinda has reached his 25th year in Bollywood and it is a proud moment for him.
The blessings of his parents are what have kept him going, he says. He gives them full credit for what he is today. He says that he was especially close to his mother and it was a very difficult time for him coming out of the grief when she died.
His mother never wanted him to.

The Dirty Picture is the upcoming biopic of sensual 80s screen siren, Silk Smitha, starring Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor.
When a film is called “The Dirty Picture” and is set in the 1980s, a decade not entirely reknowned in Bollywood for films filled with good taste and high artistic aspirations - you know there are going to be certain expectations of the soundtrack.
It was the era of Disco Dancer and Ilzaam, a decade when Bappi Lahiri’s infectiously cheesy disco anthems ruled the airwaves; an era (like now) when Bollywood also often looked South for inspiration, resulting in surprisingly saucy, glitz laden epic dance numbers in films like Himmatwala.
With The Dirty Picture soundtrack Vishal-Shekhar have essentially created a time-machine to transport the listener back to the full-on filmi glory of the early Eighties.

Mumbai, Apr 30: Govinda with his comic brilliance and penchant for dancing is all geared up for the third spell of his acting career. Having made his debut with ‘Ilzaam’ way back in 1986, the actor’s journey through the 90 ties was reasonably successful with films such as ‘Aankhen’, ‘Coolie No 1’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’ and ‘Bade miyan chhote miyan’.
