      Although the show did reasonably well in the ratings in Australia and New Zealand, it failed to sell to the ITV network in the UK , which was a major blow for the filmmakers. Eventually Channel 4 in the UK did pick it up but it was never the ratings success it's UK made predecessor was . Channel 4 ran it on Sunday lunchtimes but never repeated it afterwards.

    Wurzel Gummidge down under

    The follow up series to the originals once again sees Jon Pertwee and Una Stubbs returning but this time in New Zealand, so we do lose the rest of the original characters including the original crowman.

    Still it is more of the same, but i would say just slighly below the orginals, down under ran for 2 series.

    8.5 out of 10.
