There 10 Fantozzi movies, this one is the fifth of ten.
Liù Bosisio temporarily reprises the role of Pina Fantozzi, that she played in the first two movies Fantozzi (1975) and Il secondo tragico Fantozzi (1976), before having being replaced by Milena Vukotic starting from Fantozzi contro tutti (1980). Starting from Fantozzi va in pensione (1988) the role was again reprised by Milena Vukotic. This is Liù Bosisio's last movie role, since then she focuses on dubbing and literature. Bosisio stated that she doesn't like to talk about her experience in the Fantozzi movies, stating only that Paolo Villaggio wished her character to be more caricatural and that she abandoned the role because she didn't wish to be identified only in this character. She stated that she accepted to reprise the role in Super Fantozzi because she needed money to buy a home for her son.
Inspired by History of the World, Part I (1981).
One of the two Fantozzi movies where the character of Miss Silvani (Anna Mazzamauro) doesn't appear. The other one is Fantozzi contro tutti (1980).
