The majority of the movie was filmed in the MT Cole home place on the Cole Ranch. The house was built and occupied by MT Cole and his wife "Mammy" Cole. In the end credits, the film is dedicated to "Mammy" Cole, who passed away during filming and never got to see the movie.
The house where the movie took place is the same house used in season #1 of a Walker Texas Ranger.
