A sequel was planned but never materialized. In some parts of Europe, the 1992 film Juice was released as Angel Town 2, but it remains unknown whether that film started off as the intended sequel or not.
At the location portraying the interior of 'Lee's Gym', dark arrows and dots can be seen on the wood floor area. This building had been converted from a bowling alley (Van Nuys Bowling Center) to a kickboxing gym within a year of this movie's filming and re-purposed the lanes which contained the arrows and dots to be part of the gym's floor.
