This film deserves a better rating than 5 stars. It doesn't exactly follow Cees Nooteboom's novel (which is brilliantly written), but its interpretation is right, IMHO.
I especially like the characters played by Derek De Lint and Ton Lensink, but the whole cast is OK.

Of course the movie is not the book, is not meant to be an exact replica of the book, but the whole point of Zita was that she was only _called_ a Zambian princess. In actual fact, she had pale skin, freckles and red hair. Furthermore, casting Derek de Lindt in every single movie-based-on-literature gets rather confusing, especially if he turns every hero into a gloomy discontented intellectual.
