Answering many critics' (and viewers') remarks that the film was so incoherent and disjointed it seemed as if it wasn't finished, star Mary Woronov (who was married to the film's director, Theodore Gershuny), stated that it was exactly what happened--the production ran out of money before it could be completed but the distributor released it anyway.
