This film was shot in eighteen days around Christmas time.
Thom Babbes came up with the story after taking a trip to Vermont during the wintertime, and he based the character of Maggie on an ex-fiance.
Duane Whitaker only worked for one day on this film, and Whitaker originally also wanted to play the hunter as well.
