Leif Garrett made this film after a proposed biopic of "Little Red" Danny Lopez was canceled. He had his trademark long hair cut for this film. Afterwards he grew his hair long again, but then had to have it cut short for The Outsiders (1983).
Leif Garrett later said he had not wanted to make a film about foosball but was forced to do it by his producers the Scotti Brothers.
The music for Leif Garrett's song "Give In" is played in the film.
