So throughout the movie appearances of Cine Imperial, Cine Imperial, Cine Ideal, Cine Avenida, Palacio de la Música, Cine Callao, Cine Capitol, Cine Rex and Cine Imperial can be seen.
Alfredo Landa's second surname is Areta in real life, just like his character.
All the action takes place in December 1980.
In the opening scene (the robbery at the bar-restaurant), the main criminal's nickname is "Baretta". This is derived from real-life TV series Baretta (1975), which ran on ABC from 1975-1978, and in Spain at the time of the film action (1979-1980). TV shows were quite popular back then because there were only 2 TV channels.
Germán Areta's car is a 1978-79 light blue Simca 1000, a very popular compact car in Spain at the time.
