- TriviaThe series got very good ratings during its entire two-year run. The only reason that it was canceled was because star and hostess Barbara Mandrell was suffering from exhaustion.
- Quotes
Dolly Parton: [Barbara is dressed as, and acting like, Dolly Parton as the real Dolly Parton enters on stage from behind] What have you got in there, your sisters?
- Crazy creditsDuring the closing credits of a 1981 episode, where Barbara is riding a mechanical bull in the background, the TV series' hair stylist Monique DeSart is credited as "Monique DeFart." The credits were rolling at a faster-than-usual speed (most likely because of said credit), so one was not supposed to blink or they would miss that controversial credit (Ms. DeSart's surname was restored to normal - as well as the closing credits rolling at a normal speed - in succeeding episodes).

I've got to say that I can't stand country music. I like rock and roll. However, Barbara Mandrell and her sisters show I liked. It had humor and not only just country music stars but pop stars as well. They seemed to work well and play together. Their musical ability with the many instruments that they were able to play was awesome. The only other group that I can think of that has that kind of talent is the Osmonds. I was sorry when the show went off of the air.I thought Ilene and her dumb blond routine was also funny. She'd have to be pretty smart to pull that off. I don't care for the country music part, but I did like the skits.
