Here Come the Littles

The Littles was a neat TV show from 1983 that was based on a book series written by John Peterson that started back in the 1960's. This film is a sort of origin story, as Henry is sent to live with his Uncle Augustus when his parents go missing in Africa. However, his uncle makes him work like a slave and plans to destroy his old home. However, unknown to Henry, is that his old house is home to The Littles, a family of tiny people, and when the two kids, Tom and Lucy, get stuck in Henry's suitcase trying to repay him, Grandpa and their cousin Dinky come after them, as the kids would befriend Henry to save the two and stop Augustus after finding out his plot and the letter making him Henry's legal guardian was forged.

This movie was not well received, and is claimed by this very site as the reason the show ended after the third season, which premiered six months after it (with another movie being the last Littles cartoon that was planned as another theatrical movie, only to become a made-for TV one). It's a good prequel to the animated series it's based on, as it tells how Henry and The Littles became friends.
