The film was originally produced to be broadcast on the Playboy Channel but Columbia Pictures picked it up and released it theatrically instead. The American Film Institute's catalog states, that according to an article published on March 2, 1984, by The Los Angeles Times, the film was originally produced for the Playboy Channel but the sexual content was deemed 'too soft' for the channel, ''the production was [then] acquired by distributor Columbia Pictures for domestic theatrical release''.

Goofs
The dog's collar can-holder is only big enough for one beer can, but seconds after the head geek takes the can out, another can magically appears in it.

What a story!

Hey, at least this movie is what it is! A t & a classic. And, what a concept: 3 older bachelors hire a younger guy to party with them and train them on how to pick up younger women? C'mon, that's a beautiful script. Genius! All guys should rent it, especially to see the characters come clean in the end... Moral to the story: it is more important to just be yourself.
