In the Donkey Kong cartoon, Mario was voiced by Peter Cullen, who would later be known as the voice actor of Optimus Prime from Transformers. Coincidentally, both characters wear red and blue on their bodies.
This show has never been released in its entirety on home video or any streaming service due to most of the episodes being lost and due to royalty rights issues with the various companies that own some of the video game characters featured in the show.
The Pitfall! segment is the only segment of the show that is not based on an arcade game as it is based on the home console game Pitfall! (1982).
