Although another actress had been originally cast as Barbara, Silvia Dionisio still managed to convince the producers to let her play Barbara instead.
An initial treatment of the script was called "A Crime for a Crime."
As director Ruggero Deodato confessed in the DVD extras, it wasn't at all easy for him to be on a set where Silvia Dionisio (his wife in real life) was forced to act naked for a good part of the film.
