Throughout the final chase, the helicopter's altitude is inconsistent in its relation to the boat. This causes problems with actions (like the buoy hitting the side of the boat etc.).
The Cadillac that Mitchell picks up the old lady in is a 1975 model. When he later blows the car up, it turns into a 1967 model.
During the chase on the mountainside, the passenger's side window on the orange Mustang alternates between being opened and being closed. Also, after it rams into Mitchell's car, it loses a headlight, but later in the chase, the headlight is back.
When Mitchell climbs over a fence at one point, he clearly falls and is headed towards landing on his back. When his landing is shown from the other side, he lands on his feet.
Mitchell fires three shots from a double-barreled shotgun without reloading.
During the chase on the mountainside, the driver of the Mustang is shown pushing in a clutch even though it is clearly an automatic transmission.
At one point Mitchell gives the time as 24:17 hours. This is not standard military time notation as the day ends at 24:00. Times after midnight are occasionally used by some scheduling timetables but not for military/police time.
The first time we see the bulldozer in the chase sequence, the smoke is going into the exhaust.
The main rotor of the police helicopter is turning much slower in the close ups than in the long shots; revealing that the close ups were shot on the ground or on a sound stage (the sound of the rotors is steady throughout the scene).
The first shot of Mitchell climbing down the rope from the helicopter is clearly not of actor Joe Don Baker, but a much more fit stunt man wearing a watch cap.
Behind Mitchell as he is eating dinner. (This only appears in the television edit to allow for a cut to an alternate, less profane take of Cummings asking Mitchell about his orange.)
