"The Americans" wants to help you raise children before Season 2 begins in February. In order to do that, here is a parenting video using footage from Season 1 of the Cold War spy show.

1. Watch your language.

2. Teach your family the value of telling the truth.

3. Show children the value of new experiences.

4. Turn the other cheek.

5. No junk food.

Of course, each of these teachings is immediately undermined by the "Americans" footage showing the Jennings family doing the exact opposite. Many are amusing, but the winner has to be the response to number 2. After all, telling the truth is important, but keeping that man in the trunk a secret is the priority.

As for number 4, it's kind of unfortunate that this video doesn't show what happens shortly after Philip (Matthew Rhys) tells his daughter to ignore the bully. Let's just say the bully doesn't feel too good after Philip is done with him.

Woody Allen has been talking to the New York Times about his desire to make a film with standup comic Louis Ck. The latter has a small role in Allen's forthcoming feature Blue Jasmine, but the part isn't "commensurate with his talent", says Allen. "[So] when I finished this picture, I went into my room and thought, what would be a fun picture? My first thought was: can I come up with something that I could do with Louis Ck? … Some day, I will get something that we could do together, because I do think it would be fun. I'm such a great fan of his."

Solomon Kane

Solomon Kane is lugubrious, inclement, drab, dour, dark, violent and macabre. The eponymous character, played by James Purefoy, epitomizes all of the above and is very much the same. Having had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009, the movie will make its limited Us release almost three years later, presumably to bated and frosty breath.

Set in the 1600’s, the movie opens up with Solomon Kane in North Africa, as a ruthless mercenary hell-bent on imagined riches and bounty. Following another one of his pillages, Solomon finds himself in a room with a demon. After a short lecture about how he is bound for hell because of his evil deeds, the demon engages him in a fiery sword fight, which Solomon is able to escape from.

The debut of the new gospel smash "Moves Like Jesus" was a resounding success.

This week ABC presented back-to-back new episodes of Gcb (to test out its viability in the Desperate Housewives timeslot), and both episodes provided more reasons why this show should be renewed.

Let's take a look at five highlights from each show, starting with "Turn The Other Cheek," which focused on the 17th annual vow renewal for Ripp and Carlene. The theme of this year's gala is Gone With The Wind, which shockingly had never been used in any of their renewals. I would have expected that theme to be near the top of the list, along with "A Tribute To Dubya," and "Come as Your Favorite Biblical Plague." (mine would be "blood," with a Super Soaker filled with Clamato.)

This week we received a Gcb double feature, and two was definitely better than one.

First up is “Turn the Other Cheek” which had Amanda getting into Carlene’s good graces so she and Luke could go to her 16th vow renewal ceremony.

I need to get one thing off my chest, though. It’s the first season, and I understand there needs to be a period of time to find what is and isn’t working for the series as a whole, and while many things worked tonight in “Turn the Other Cheek,” there is one thing that isn’t, and hasn’t, been working:
