To me this movie is almost perfect. A very disturbing story of love and madness in the 40's, directed in a beautifull way by the legendary Daniel Tinayre. Originally, Terence Hill was going to be the star of this movie but they finally they called Carlos Monzon, the 70's boxing star, to perform the boxing champion. Susana Gimenez's work is absolutely amazing, and even Monzon seems to make a good job here (thanks to Tinayre, obviously). In fact they had to use another actor to re-record Monzon's lines because he talked not very good. Excelent
