After receiving unwise loans, the remaining farmers of a deserted town in Messenia are burdened with debt to the Agricultural Bank of Greece. Caught in a downward spiral, the once-proud cultivators now grapple with depression, loneliness, and a deep sense of stagnation in their rapidly ageing community. Amid the certainty of a bleak future, Andreas, the town's tailor and former sprinter, is on a quest for love and a reason to stay in this dismal place. As he grapples with his conscience, the town's long-awaited event, the quasi-annual running race, might be a way out. However, can Andreas prove he is still the man he used to be?
